Gold bonus fraud? (solved. found to be untrue)
As many players know, sometimes you get a pop-up prompting you to the gold store with a bonus offer like 30% or 20% more gold for your purchase. Usually, I'd just disregard the message, but today I thought I'd check out a 30% bonus one and perhaps take Byro up on the offer; however after my wallet decided against it and once the offer expired, I found the gold amounts to have not changed at all.
It seems to me that perhaps there is a bit of deception or even fraudulent marketing going on.
I didn't do my due diligence in investigating this much further, but I certainly will if others in the community have found this to be the case as well. Please let me know if you have experienced this and what your thoughts are on the matter.
Personally, if this is the case, I feel that this should be changed and addressed. I love the game, but don't want to support anything that ploys these types of marketing tactics.

You mean you decided not to buy any gold after all, and then you didn't get any? That's as I'd expect it??Nojcreator wrote:

You have to buy the gold before the offer expires or you get the gold at price. It always has a time limit showing when it closes. Also your present gold will not go up just the gold you buy at the time of the discount.Nojcreator wrote:

you guys dont understand, in shop it says 30% extra or something, and i think OP means to say that, whenever time limit is up, he still sees the same amount of gold offered at the same amount of money, no bonus, like, they routinely give the gold offer but they dont actually give extra gold at the price.

Ah! That's a version of the electronics store trick... you sell a product for €80, then you raise the price to €120 in week 1 (small letters and no sales), and in week 2 you scream "DISCOUNT!!! From €120 for €80!!"
Ye, should be something like this, tho if OP replied, hmm, i do remember the discrepancies in currency exchange.

I think a few people lost my point. I did not purchase any gold, but rather just looked into purchasing it. Also, I was referring to the amount of gold offered when the discount is active (ex. 64,000 gold at $19.99 marked up to 83,200 gold (30% bonus) at the same $19.99 bonus).
Also after further investigation, I found this to be a visual glitch and untrue. The gold is, in fact, increased by the advertised amount and it seems that no fraud is taking place. Sorry for the whistle-blow folks!
