There is no such thing as a greatest dictator. All dictators are not great.

If dictators actually follow their propaganda and BS and commit to a democratic transition as soon as whatever β€œemergency” that’s happening is over, they can be pretty good. A couple examples are De Gaulle and his creation of the 5th republic rather than keeping his dictatorial powers, and I think Ataturk as well, though he stayed as a dictator for his whole life and it took until 1950 for Turkey to become a rather flawed democracy.

Both are amateurs compared to Tito

The President

This is just a dictator comparision now

The single Greatest Leader in the 20th century was Ian Smith.

He led 15 years of resistance against Britain, guerillas, and the USSR, all with little to no support from the world, with only Portugal's help till '74 and SA's aid ending shortly after.

If only Operation Quartz came through... What could have been....

You are wrong, it’s the Saviour. He wouldn’t have made it without the Saviour.

The last dictator of Taiwan was probably a great dictator, he didn't want a dictatorship. He modernised and industrialised Taiwan and abolished dictatorship.

Edward Downin'don

dictator is rule by military power

revolutionist groups certainly do that bc they just finish a revolution

everything is unstable so military power is the only easy way to hold it

like julius ceaser, a great dictator.

but that doesn't mean his history is white though (he's roman after all)

"Hate, union, freedom, justice, equality, war, peace, violence, blood. It is but a perfect mixture on destiny and our lives. It is for the mass we trust and for the mass we contribute, or to selfishly to personal greed we follow, it is up to your choices on what mixture you want. My mixture is a bit of everything with madness and humility in it, the virtues will black and sinful, just like I per say." - Kaiser Luther Ernst Willienburg.
