Healing, yes again a new player has a question
Lets say I am Germany, and I invade France.
If I win the battle and now own the providence, will my troops heal over time?
Or when people say you need to be in your own providence, does that mean I have to bring my troops back to Germany to heal ?
I am referring to healing with time and not using gold.
Thanks in advance

Short answer: If your ground and air units are on your own territory, either your own country's core provinces or any province you have captured, they will recover fifteen percent (15%) of their then-existing damage each day. Your units will not recover if they are located in enemy, neutral or allied provinces. Air units will also recover in the air if they are patrolling from an air base in one of your own provinces, or if they are flying between two air bases located in your provinces. Naval units will recover wherever they are.ND_Sandman wrote:

BTW, a "province" is a defined geographic territory of a larger country, nation-state or empire.
"Providence" may mean fate, God specifically, or the divine generally, in the English language. It's also the capital city of Rhode Island.
Cheers.
Thank you both for taking the time to answer me.
Comprehensive answer: To heal a unit (increase condition), move your units to any province you control. Their condition increases about 15% of the damaged portion per day(providing the province does not rebel to another nation). Naval vessels heal anywhere. Aircraft operating from a carrier do not heal. Non-naval convoy units do not heal.
land units which transport over waters (convoys) lose 1 health per day too...BRDubbs wrote:

as far as i know, it doesn't, you can keep them in the water as much as you wantKing Draza Mihajlovic wrote:

in one of my games, i noticed that the health of my convoys were going down by 1 each day...thats not much though, except if you make large scale operations with long sea travel timenemuritor98 wrote:

mmm, maybe they changed it recently, i made the test 2 months ago leaving a convoy for almost 3 weeks in the sea, it didn't get hurtKing Draza Mihajlovic wrote:

were the ground units at sea attached to warships?
in nemurito's experiment?
or it could be that only infantry loses HP at sea? similar to S1914?
nope...WayneBo wrote:

I just tested it and cannot confirm any automatic HP loss on water.
hmm, that's weird...well, i guess that i should try to make an(other) experiment...freezy wrote:
