Letβs look at asia!
Hmm? Why is manchuko an country? Isnβt it part of japan in 1931 already? And this map is about 1939
When you play as any countries in the historical world war map, u will have an economic problem
E.g : us and japan is low on oil... etc..
So I was thinking: is the historical world war map about economics instead of fighting and war???

Manchukuo was a puppet state of Japan, which is slightly different than annexed territory; they had their own government (led by the last Chinese Emperor by the way) even though they executed Japan's guidelines.

If you're going to argue on this one, better discuss the British Empire as well (India, Canada, Australia, Egypt, South Africa, anyone?). Phillipines? For game balancing reasons, it is much better that they are independent of course.
Thanks for the historic class
I was very enthousiast about this map when it came out, but unfortunately, it is very badly finetuned. When your empire is expanding (especially with a small country with a low core income, but for larger economies as well), you don't even have enough food to feed your population, let alone units. I remember playing Tibet, conquering most of Asia and Africa, then failing to have a food income despite having just 3 units left. This was a few years ago, I haven't played it since, but I don't think it has been rebalanced.
Don't get your hopes up: it hasn't.K.Rokossovski wrote:

Food and oil seem to be scarce resources in the 39 historical map ...
Yea I know
Step 1: make sure to be friends with the German reich and italy
Step 2, stop all barrack and stop all naval bases
Step 3, build Infrastructure or forts in food + oil province
Step 4, invade Spain!!!!!!!
step 5 : YOU CHOOSE!!!

I fink that British India and the ussr is the best , since they have NO economic problems!
plz type your opinion in the comment

I have only completed 13 games (7 in tutorial and 6 in 39 Historical). In the 39 historical and my 3 favorite countries, of those I played, are: USA, Japan, Italy ...
Ok
I like japan too
Unpopular opinion: I think Persia is the best.
Never under-rate a country in the 39 map. Player quality is important. It's map conducive to coalition wins. In my first game as Brazil, I won in coalition with Turkey and Manchuria- the latter not a popular pick. In my current game- I'm South Africa. That's not a popular pick either. But in coalition with the US and Germany, we are 2-3 days short of victory ...
Persia is not good for meee, it low on metal
Want metal? Just go invade your neighbors. Problem solved.
Yes good point but I need to make up a military first
Try building a limited amount of tanks.
Or if tanks are too expensive, commandos work well too.
Balance between food needed unit production and metal needed unit production
