Manchu-Japanese Alliance Negotiated
Today Emperor Taira Wolf and Empress Lady Aragosta signed an agreement to collaborate in future, ending the unannounced invasion of Manchukuo by Japan earlier that year. Said invasion led to the capture of Chengteh, Qinhuangdao, Mukden and Huanren; the naval bombardment of Yingkow by the 15th Cruiser Squadron, destroying the garrison there; and the bombing of Kiamusze. Emperor Taira Wolf expressed a desire to submit to Japanese rule and become a puppet rather than be completely annexed, and the following terms were negotiated.
1. Japan will halt the attack from the moment an agreement is signed.
2. Invaded provinces will be returned after Day 7.
3. Manchukuo will have a shared map with Japan.
4. Japan will have a shared map with Manchukuo.
5. Manchukuo will pay a tribute of an amount to be ascertained at a later date.
6. Manchu invasions must be approved by Japan, but may be funded by it on the whim of the emperor.
7. For the entirety of this game, Japan WILL NOT invade Manchukuo, and WILL defend it if somebody else attempts to invade it, unless it has reason to suspect that any of these terms have been broken.
8. Japan will keep a garrison force on the Manchu-Japanese border.
The precise quantities of tribute are currently being negotiated.
