I did something really mean but found a new strategy too

So basically I got into game as Japan in HWW and I wanted to defeat China but also keep my popularity up for mid-game period so what I did was I dmed him I want your 6 eastern cities give them to me or I will take forcefully. You have 24 hours to decide. Then he told me he wants to be allies not at war. I reply no I want your cities if you agree to my terms then withdraw your troops from your eastern side if you decline then declare war. China surprise attacked me with a interceptor after that. In newspaper I started spamming about China surprise attacking me and everyone believed I was innocent. UK even helped destroy part of China's navy with his HK fleet. My popularity went to 75% and I am now able to take out China without a popularity decrease. China tried to prove that I wanted his land but then I reply in newspaper, no you are making fake border dispute so you can take my land. after that he just said japan you are so mean. I felt bad but also now I have new strategy I can use when I want to war someone but get good popularity.

Lol dude I sort of did this once. I had read a book about Otto von Bismarck and the way he started the Franco-Prussian War in 1870 and took inspiration from it. I (and I'm not proud of this) messaged a player about his score and K/D ratio, basically saying he sucked at Call of War and kind of goaded him into attacking me. However, I also offered a non-aggression pact, so when he attacked me first, I both seemed innocent and I could say in the paper that I offered a non-aggression pact. The people in the newspaper ate it up, and I made two allies that ended up staying till the end of the game with me. I killed the guy, honestly without much help, but I was still seen as the 'likable' guy.

errmm. It isnt THAT new tactic, i always make the enemy attack me unless i am lazy (nowadays)

if you did that to me. I would go delete call of war and SMASH every device in my house. That is bit scummy but scummy wins wars and wars win you games and game wins make your stats better but you don’t really need your popularity to go up why you want it high.
