K/D Flexing

There are so many jerks in my game that flex their K/D in the newspaper.

“My K/D is higher than your age”

“If you kill ten of my units and I kill one of yours it still won’t go up”

“Your K/D is below 2 you loser”

I don’t like it when people speak like this to me. What should I say/do to them?

Ignore them. They’re just trying to get into your head and distract you. Focus on the game.

Say nothing. Just remember that anyone can get a good k/d by cheating, gold and premade teams. So it's not skills, it's the result of his actions.

There’s nothing wrong with joining with partners. It’s been a while since I’ve joined regular maps, but when I did, it was always with a few alliance mates.

Just be a good partner and players will want to play with you again.

Too many kids in this game. It should require a maturity test for playing.

What does 59/15/28 mean?

I never said that?

Are they actually good players, or just pretending they're good to intimidate me?

Hard to say. I don’t judge based on stats, so I’m hesitant to check their profiles. Like others have said, it’s easy to inflate your KD with gold/card, starting a new account, or joining with alliance mates. Same can be said for playing certain types of maps.

KD for the sake of flexing is like competing on who can get the most miles on a charge. It's silly, but people will compete at anything.

But KD is not useless. A player with a high KD against AI knows how to fight efficiently. They know how the game works, they know how to use their units, and they have patience. A player who loses tons of units against the AI is either ignorant or careless or both, not qualities you look for in a partner.

Yes, player KD can be pushed up by playing easy maps against beginners. If you play a lot of big maps against good opponents, your KD could go down below 4:1. But everyone should be able to get high KD against the AI, hopefully 20:1 or better.

Yeah I gotta fix my AI k/d and especially my player k/d. It's only 0.8 right now, but if I play seriously, I have potential for 2+ at least

Remember the KD is not a goal, it's just an indicator. How are you fighting AI, to lose units? What can you do to stop losing units? That's what you should think about

I have an alliance mate that intentionally trashed his own KD just so players would underestimate him.

KD is usually a reasonable indicator of the player, but don’t obsess over it.
