Maxing Resource Production in 2-2-1 setup

Hello everyone! Not many posts here lately but I just discovered something regarding the resources in most maps so I thought I should post here.

So with the 3 resources system we have now, most maps where you get 5 cities it's like 2-2-1 where 2 resources have 2 cities and 1 resource has only one city. And usually the rural provinces you get 6 of them that produce resources and its a 4-1-1 spread meaning the resource that only has one city has 4 rural provinces and the other two only have one each.

So you might think that the resource you only have in one city you wont make much of and it will be a pain for you the rest of game. WRONG! If you build all industry in cities and rural provinces it will actually be the most produced.

So at the start of game (without industry) you have 2 cities for each of the first 2 resources, lets say food and metal. The base is 6000, so 6000x2=12000 daily production for food and metal in cities

And the last one, oil, is only one city, so 6000 daily production for that one.

But for the rural provinces, oil has 4 of them and 1500 base production, so thats 1500x4=6000 more oil per day, thats basically another city worth of production there. Food and metal have one rural province each so 1500 for each there.

So food and metal will have 12000+1500=13500 daily production at base and oil will have 6000+6000=12000 production.

So not far off.

But in late game when max all industry its different. So level 5 industry for cities give +120% resources production.

That means with max industry production is 6000+(6000*1.2)=6000+7200=13200. So, 13200 resource per city. That means food and metal will be making 13200x2=26400 resources in cities at max industry. Oil will only have one city so 13200 for now.

In rural provinces the max level industry (think its level 3) is +200% boost. So final production there is 1500+(1500x2)=1500+3000=4500. So each rural province will have 4500 resource production at max industry. Oil has 4 of them so 4500x4=18000 extra productions. Food and metal have one each so they get 4500 production each.

So by adding them all up, food and metal have 26400+4500=30900 daily production each. But oil will have 13200+18000=31200 daily production. Thats about 300 more than metal and oil will have. Of course this depends on you have to keep all these provinces at 100 morale so build the morale centers. But I just wanted to show how the last resource will not kill you in your round if you build lots of industry.

Stay Sweet!
