Flying bombs are useless. The only use is to get rockets in the research tree.
What do you think is the most useless unit in Call of War. I think that strategical bombers are the most useless units.

1. Flying Bomb
2. Strategic Bomber
3. Militia
That covers it all.karoliscool wrote:

i find militia remotely useful...
Yes, now in the new update they are extremely quick and cheap to produce if you really need a unit fast.Karl von Krass wrote:

these guys find militia to be useless in 1.5, i disagree however..purplepizza117 wrote:

Yup. Useless in 1.0, but certainly not in 1.5. Combine them with AT for a deadly trap to enemy armor, even if they're just L1.
Not going to lie, i've won game by using militia, fast production, low cost, saved my country on several occasionskaroliscool wrote:

For me biggest problem is manpower, i can't afford to waste manpower to build militia. In desperate situation yes, you can use it.
Militia were really useful in 1.0 because they were the cheapest and faster to produce "HP" (no unit came close in HP/hour of production). There was little point in upgrading them further than level 1 though since the HP value did no grow.
Militia in 1.5 - I think they are very useful on historical maps. On non-historical maps, you start with 10+ infantry and no militia, so you are better off focusing research on infantry to leverage what you start with and then well, no point having 2 "foot" infantry lines.
do you ever try militia rush at the start of the game? i see on comitern doctrine militia have +50% mountain bonus, and 25% urban bonus.
The only time I used militia was when I was playing as Thailand on the 50 player map, I conquered all of Indonesia and Australia. But, then I got betrayed by Indochina and had to combat 30 units with 10 units in my core. I survived with militia spam. Each militia took like 45 minutes so I could make rows and rows of militia.
with a rocket artillery from behind that can act as a seemingly unprotected arty and anti unarmored for the stack, it's a good strat for a comintern country since every unit mentioned is buffed. effective against a rushing 10 stack axis unitsK.Rokossovski wrote:

Flying bomb of course
1. Atomic Bomb: this is 100% the most useless thing in the game only researched to get get nukes, you cant do anything with it.
2. Flying Bomb: only good at scaring off lvl 1 players but can't do much
3. Militia: good for comitern but only useful for defense and holding provinces
4. Anti-Air: this is arguable but if the enemy is using lots of tac bombers they can just attack your anti air and they will win without much damage to their planes. this thing needs a buff
5. Aircraft carriers: these are sometimes useful for like japan in historic mode but in most situations you can string airfields together or just go without fighters and then cap a province to put an airfield down. carriers cant carry much planes anyways and get countered by a few anti air
I thought the same about aircraft carriers but they have one overwhelming strength : your planes cannot be hit by a rocket while reloading when on an aircraft carrier, and even hitting them with planes is difficult if you micromanage a bit ; plus they can be escorted by cruisers and other heavy ships to soak up the damage.
...plus, you have air support available when you make a trans-oceanic invasion.
Carrier bridges are ridiculously expensive tho...K.Rokossovski wrote:

I know you can just put your planes on one carrier and move it across the ocean, but only poor countries do that, but I always turn my country into an economic wasteland, but I want to seem rich but...
Carrier bridegs expensive? Are you kidding? Africa-S.America is only one carrier, and Europe-N.America two or three. Is that expensive when it takes your planes hours to deploy instead of days?
There are no useless units.vietcong2005 wrote:

HOWEVER.
I find myself not using Naval Bombers hardly at all. They're extremely specialized, to a fault. They can do exactly one thing, and if you have a proper navy even that doesn't really matter.
