For what it's worth, here's mine. I'm still not very far out of my noob days as I don't play as often as lots of people.
So I first joined in October 2021 (as Lady Aragosta, predictably) as Morocco, same as you. I wasted the first couple of days on fortifying and developing my industry, before I'd quite worked out that actually industry is only useful in provinces with resources. I didn't really care then because I had Unlimited GoldTM. Everyone else left me alone as most of them were scrapping over mainland Europe. I did ally with United Kingdom, mainly so I could use Gibraltar.
After a few days of doing nothing I tried to invade Western Sahara. Took me an embarrassing length of time - I think another three days? to capture it and set my K/D into the death spiral it has yet to break free of.
I didn't try for the Spanish invasion until I'd completely quelled the Saharans. Took me a while to get as far as capturing Malaga, and when I did Spain's player informed me that he was tired of attacking me and wanted peace. Fool that I was, instead of pressing my advantage I folded and joined his coalition.
I made a great big navy I had no use for, which included a lot of battleships I couldn't really afford without cracking out the gold.
Then I started fighting Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. Mostly with tanks, because I thought infantry and artillery were boring. I was more interested in air and naval units, none of which were much use, although the battleships came in useful emptying people's cities.
After that I went inactive (not from lack of interest but because I was using a shared computer I didn't have access to all the time) and my coalition won without me, so I was cheated out of my gold reward.
About six months later I returned to Call of War as the United Kingdom. I fared a little better here, finally working out what artillery was for, but I wouldn't have survived the first few days if I hadn't been allied with Yugoslavia, who kept giving me advice in addition to what I was getting from an irl player. Among the siller things I did were wasting time on AIs rather than going for France straight away, building a defensive wall of submarines around the Channel long after my coalition had flattened Europe, and not immediately backstabbing Northern USA but instead dithering, because I was unwilling to go to war with more than one person at once.
It wasn't until my first HWW game that I really started getting the hang of things.
and offered peace to Spain
