My opponent has Right of Way with 17 Countries?!?!?

How is this possible? Or is he just running multiple accounts. None of these countries appear to be active.

Possible if you allow, once the game starts (or once a player became idle), RoW or Map Sharing to all the AI.

Oh crap. :)

Thanks for the quick response.

Tip : If you are hurry, give Map Sharing to the AI in order to get back very quickly (2 days max) a RoW.

Good advice. It's going to be too late for me in this game though

The time it takes to get Right of Way depends on how the AI "feels" about you. This is partly related to your reputation that you get by declaring war.

Right of way also persists even if a player goes inactive. Some players are very active in diplomacy and make friends with everyone nearby in the early game.

Amateur, i had Share Map with 15 countries once. All up to diplomacy, and your communication skills, but remember if you are a large country that people will most of the time look at you as an enemy thats why i tend to start games as weaker countries where i can

How do you leverage 'communication skills' with the AI to gain right of way?

I know I'm a novice compared to most, but it seems like that is just a matter of whoever is first in game spamming ROW to all the bot players.

I was just implying that my Share Map is superior to his RoW, and that it takes no skill to get RoW from the AI aswell. FYI, there are events where you actually dont get RoW from a AI country too.

Well I am not new but I am not very smart either so i am in no way more valid then you are

I have kind of a similar question. Is there a way the AI player will make peace with you after you've started a war? I set my relation with an AI back to peace and it's been 4 days and they're still at war with me.

It does take time to return to peace. You will need a period of time without any battles in order for a peace offering to be accepted. This requires almost a "cold war" type of situation where you defend the province centers bordering their territory and leave them alone. Again it can take 7 or more days in order for this to happen, and it will be reset by any battle, conflict, or province captured during the time.

Thanks. I actually just checked back in and the AI set their relations to peace with me like an hour ago :)

Congrats, that's always a relief

Again, to get peace quicker, give directly Map Sharing to the AI.
