Nationalist China World at War Game Report
This was the most fun game that I have ever been in. At the time, I was still relatively inexperienced, but knew the basics of the game. (It was my third complete game.) Anyway, here's the report. This was a month ago, so I don't have the exact details.
Part 1: The Rise of Nationalist China. (Days 1-9)
100 nations were in the world. For a time, they were at peace. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. (Sorry, bad joke.) Wars started around the world. The leader of Nationalist China, Brutus Trump, saw the wars, and decided that Nationalist China needed more power. He knew that having an economy was important, so after building some unit production buildings, he started building industries. The world was very dangerous, and this country would need allies to survive. Brutus scoured the coalition list, looking for regional coalitions. Eventually, he found one. The New Powers Coalition was ready for openings. It included Pakistan, Korea, and North India. The diplomats successfully got Nationalist China into the coalition. Right after that, Communist China joined.
The Nationalist military started growing as Taiwan was conquered. After this, the Nationalist Empire was formed, with Brutus Trump being crowned the Supreme Leader. By now, it was Day 3. Korea went inactive. Persia (who will be important later) attacked Pakistan. They conquered the Pakistanis. However, North India let Pakistani troops take refuge and launched the counterattack against Persia. In a expertly fought war, they pushed the Persians out of Pakistan. Unfortunately, Pakistan went inactive.
Now, the Nationalists had one of the strongest militaries, and it was time for expansion. Sichuan, South China, Burma, Ma-Clique, Mongolia, and Xinjiang all fell by Day 9. Sichuan, Burma, and Mongolia were split with Communist China and North India. North India had conquered all of India.
The world was slowly consolidating as nations went inactive or were conquered. There were 5 major coalitions. MAGA, who controlled North America, had Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, and California. South Mexico, Peru, Colombia, North Brazil, and South Argentina were in a coalition. The Aussie Rules coalition had Papua New Guinea, Queensland, and Indochina. North India joined them. This coalition was dominant. The Africa coalition had Nigeria, Mauritania, South Africa, Poland, and South West Africa. They were the only ones capable of silencing the Aussie Rules. To show the nature of this game, Japan and South Mexico once got into a cussfight over who got to keep Hawaii in the newspaper. I sent 3 ships over to keep the peace in Hawaii. I also had two submarines in the Bering strait. This was to stop North America from expanding into Russia, the last unconquered place.
On day 8, Queensland messaged me. He wanted to be an ally. We talked about plans to invade Persia( who was still alive and strong), I knew that Indochina was about to go inactive, so I was going to get Communist China to join the Aussie Rules coalition with me. Right before I disbanded the coalition, Finland joined. I decided to keep the coalition. Half of my army was on the Persian border. Things were going well.
The next day, my army was all but gone.
