What you think of the Pacific map?
Naval Warfare
Can we please have a island map designed for naval warfare? I would love to have a map placed in Indonesian islands. Have everyone start with 6 cruisers and 2 destroyers. Ideally there would enough ships for the players to start fighting but not enough to wipe out island populations. Give all players plenty of starting resources to start training other ship types.
Island hopping warfare might be interesting. Let me know your thoughts.

I have plenty of big sea battles on that map… and global maps with multiple continents in general. Play an American nation on this maps for naval combat

There's too much land in that map. A player from Asia can solo without sending one unit to America. It's not an island hopping map if island hopping isn't necessary.
And wouldn't many players find island hopping warfare boring? I myself don't know a lot of people who would be up for it...
But a player from America can’t… and they can hit the Asian. The Asian may also want to hit America rather than fighting a strong power in say, Europe.Komrade Khrushchev wrote:

Bro Europe's not on the PC map
I’ve never tried to solo that map, but a coalition in Asia can win without crossing too. However they would need Australia and the overwhelming majority of islands in the Pacific too.Komrade Khrushchev wrote:

I just had a good naval battle on that map. I’ve had bigger on the 100 player map, but I’ll tell the story anyway. I was doing a training run for a new player and had a player in America consolidate quickly and start island hopping. I had my trainee send a few subs at islands where we anticipated them to attack. It worked. He sunk a few battleships and the player was very condescending to my trainee. The guy sent about everything he had after him (my trainee was New Zealand) expecting an easy win. He upgraded his destroyers and battleships and included a small number of cruisers and carriers with interceptors escorting a lot of ground troops. We anticipated the crossing and put spies on him. We met him off the coast of NZ with 60 leveled cruisers between the four of us along with subs (that we didn’t dare use against that many destroyers) and enough of our own interceptors to win air superiority and naval bombers to help the cruisers after. Good times! The allied/American player couldn’t believe we didn’t build battleships.
