New Call of Christmas map

Does anyone have any experience of playing this new ‘call of Christmas’ map? It seems to be similar to the Antarctica map, but I’m not sure how similar - and it’s 2x speed, which slightly puts me off playing it due to how busy I will be over the Christmas period.

If anyone has any info or advice that would be appreciated - maybe someone could even make a playthrough this year!

Have a blessed day <3

I badly overestimated the strength of my comintern units. Wow. Axis is STRONG in comparison.
I play axis because of its strength, which is best seen against Comintern in the early game. I focus heavily on econ from the very beginning, with all of my resources being meticulously coordinated to different goals. I researched only what I need, and built factories whenever possible. It is with this strategy that I can maintain almost as many units as a Comintern player whilst also being a lot stronger.

Wouldn’t a good Comintern player just do the same thing and still have more anyway, then?

A good Comintern player will always have more units than a good axis player, at least until they start upgrading which for me is about day 10/11.

Average Comintern player. All doctrines are really good in their own ways if used properly.

You gotta assume the enemy is the same quality as you, though. Even though they aren’t like 95% of the time. Of course unless it’s a HWW as Germany and you can steamroll everyone.

Ehh... I'm too lazy for that. I just lost 20 units to a player because I assumed that they weren't in a great place to defend, and I was also busy IRL(visiting Manhattan, it was quite nice).

EDIT: I think they boosted in units.

I'm from NY, I don't go to the tourist areas. This time of year, the New York Stock Exchange puts up a pretty nice Christmas tree.

Almost no crowds. Also, @russ_russ1 don't you try bragging about gulp's GDP. The GDP of that place is around 10 billion, meanwhile, the market cap of all NYSE companies combined is 2500 billion, and the GDP of the island of Manhattan alone is about equal to that of the Republic of Poland. :)

I’m sure those CEO dudes love that but a good part of the money you’re making is being pilfered by living costs in a loud as hell concrete jungle… nice place tho

There's a reason that people commute. Also, it depends on where you are. If you're in Brooklyn, expect constant noise from the elevated subway lines. Also, while on that topic, I saw the new subway model that they are going to be rolling out soon. They are doing some small-scale tests on specific lines(in this case the A) and it's pretty rare to see. Production should be starting soon I think.

There a 50% chance Donk is gonna make a post defending his city as the New Yorker he is, but as Americans it is our solemn to make fun of anything New York except their pizza (Better than Chicago) so we will continue no matter how much money they give us.

Yeah, who cares about the most significant city in North America, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, the best public transit system in the US, the primary HQ of hundreds of the world's biggest and most influential corporations, including the NYSE and NASDAQ, the two biggest stock exchanges in the world that have a combined market cap of around 50 trillion (the GDP of the US and EU combined, all centered in one city), the biggest port on the US North East, the former US capitol(what was seen as the "default" option before Washington DC), the home to 20+ million people, and a metropolitan GDP bigger than the entirety of Oceania, including Australia.

It might be argued DC could be seen as more significant as it has the US government and access to our nukes. If we lose New York America would still have most of the country and GDP left. If Washington disappeared the country could collapse. That’s debatable though. As for the companies and Wall Street… capitalism is uh, lame, so I could lose it. Ships? Don’t need ‘em, screw the economy! Former capital? That was Philadelphia really tbh. 20 million people? We have 300 million more humans to sacrifice. Oceania isn’t real, it only exists in 1984. Australia is complete fiction. public transport is cool.

He’s still gonna write an Unamerican post saying that “blah blah New York literally provided 80% or higher of the countries income during and before the 1860’s, blah blah the city is responsible for half of American culture bleh bleh” but I will respond with the fact that New York must be Yorker. The state of New York has produced 5 US presidents and countless more influential politicians. New York City was the first capitol, George Washington was sworn into office in its city hall. You may not care about Wall Street, but all automotive companies do, including Lamborghini (Volkswagen is Nasdaq listed), among pretty much all major technological companies. To put it simply, the global economy would collapse. Also, if you want to compare it differently, the state of New York has a bigger GDP than the entire Russian Federation.

Politicians? Throw them in the box. First capital? Then captured by the tea drinkers. Tainted. George? Borge. Lamborghini? Ban rotini. Tech companies? Wreck them in Belize. Global economy would collapse? Such things will come and pass. New York is Richer than Russia? So is the region making up modern day Prussia.
