Transport planes: Can carry carry units except planes or ships to one place to another from airbase to airbase. It can move empty too. And moves in trucks like other planes if the situation happens. It is very weak and any type of plane can be used to defeat it.

More info: Transport planes can ONLY be used when there is an airbase.
Transport planes can be used in allied territory.
Transport planes can not be used in aircraft carrier(s) .
Transport planes can be shot down like flying bombs after that the units in it will get destroyed too.
Units should be moved out of transport planes after use.
If a transport plane is produced when an unit is there in the province, then it has to be moved vice versa

Nowhere NEAR the amount of airlift capacity was available at the time to move strategically relevant amounts of troops around. Even just supplying encircled armies was a VERY tough nut to crack, or outright impossible.
Stalingrad was destroyed so was the airbase

I see what you are saying but it wouldnt be able to transport tanks. They could barely transport jeeps via planes at the time but the idea is cool but wouldnt work due to the era

I think it's a great idea
The German Military often exaggerated the effectiveness of their more experimental vehicles so I doubt that the Me 323 Gigant is as effective as this propaganda film would have you believe.Comrade genz wrote:

No in fact the transport planes of the time were pretty good. But agreeing with Rovossiki here, some of the best transports housed 30 troops only. Considering CoW logistics and numbers, that is impossible to implement on a game, youd have to only be able to move around 1/8 of a unit, so impossible. Even paratroopers should be reworked within the game. Also with Stalingrad, the logistics didnt work and of course capacity... however, if the Germans had a proper number of plane transports and were not surrounded as well as a few other details, it would be possible, kind of like the final reinforcement of Germans in North Africa reveresed.
And on the propaganda mentioned, my personal belief is that German propaganda in 2021 is made up by American propaganda.
