News from the Battle Front - Clanpred's Staff Invitational

It's been a week since the entire world was plunged into all out war.
In a struggle to achieve superiority over the 4 major alliances there has been much in the way of subterfuge and counter subterfuge. Maverick players breaking ranks with their Coalition and launching their own settlement of old scores as bitter hatred comes to the surface along the fault lines of entire continents.
The most bloodshed has been in the midst of the Eurasian land mass as Europe has retaliated for maverick Asian generals aggressive incursions. As a result huge gains have been made as the Asian team sorted out it's internal issues. Leaders were deposed and new regimes installed.
Meanwhile there has been much fighting in the North African areas as Europe reveals it's agenda of world domination by also making inroads that have been robustly dealt with by the rest of Africa. Their allies in Oceania however have largely stayed out of the fray, merely shouting words of encouragement from the sidelines.
The Mods continue to gather their strengths in relative peace in the Americas. Other than a few toes in the water by, you guessed it, Europe no player has had any significant success against the Mods.
The only incident of note was two back to back suicide troll accounts attacking the notorious Clanpred. Having beaten these trolls with the help of GO Clanpred has been able to catch up and now lies second only to Mark Achkar. The mystery is who brought the trolls in? More exciting than the troll in Harry Potter's Philosopher's Stone or fearsome than the Cave Troll in Lord of the Rings but investigations continue for the culprit's identification.

I agree, the balance of the game ended up being so well done here. While Asia may have been larger, the EU had a higher ration of veteran players and the result was a thirty+ day war between Eurasia and the EU with the conflict only being determined by an unexpected assault by the mods which just so happened to coincide with a major push by Eurasia that broke the fighting spirit of the veterans. In short it was a great game, intrigue, betrayal, the constant whines of those whose units did not last as long as tehy thought they should, sabotage, blood, death, and ruin. Great game everyone.

there was plenty of betrayal and intrigue, in fact the uglier face of humanity showed it's face on occasion.
there were things that could have been done better in respect of team administration. I think next time I need to appoint team captains as a first step. The clashes for leadership at the start were epic lol.

It's what makes the game fun though. But I do agree that as starting points it will help the game run smoother.
