Oil and food, always out.

I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but as of now I have:

- 7 Oil provinces with IC at 5 and Infra at 3, Not THAT many troops and still only a production of +157/h

- 13 Food provinces with almost all IC at 5 and all infra at 3, and I'm at -64 in production.

It seems like it is like this for everyone at in the game since those are the only 2 resources that no one is selling.

Am I missing something or should it be this bad? Is this so that the makers can sell it for gold instead? It is just taking all the fun out of the game ...

Is there anything I can do except spend lots of real money on the resources?

Disable your barracks and naval bases, also important the damaged levels 2 and 3.

Increase and uphold the morale of your provinces.

Managing food is always something to keep ahead of. By mid game I plan to capture 6 or 8 food provinces a day, and start an industrial complex in every single one.

That means investing early in your core rate and steel provinces , as well as those close to your core, so you have the rares and steel to build more industrial complexes later

You always have to watch your food production. It is best to keep food production positive most of the time. Each province of your empire eats food. If you are expanding too fast you can go negative on food. Turning off your barracks can slow the loss of food.

If your food provinces have L5 IC and L3 Infra, then look at increasing the morale to 100% in your food provinces.

In the smaller games and you play hard. I just finished the last two Pacific games in 27 and 20 turns. Neither was a problem. I'm still a high TAC player, I plan on it.

NOW in the 100 man you have to figure out if it's going to be a long one or short one. I just finished a 100 man in 35 days. Resources meant nothing. Now I did play a solo win 100 man victory that took 4 months that was the experiment limited resources game. NOW that was where I learned to use moral screen a lot, and the slow and sure. That is the rub. The blitz is easy, if you want to spend the gold cool.
