This is a deeply regrettable decision on behalf of Bytro Labs' management. WiseOdin is by far the best senior customer relations person I have encountered during my two years as an active forum participant. Unlike numerous other staff members ---- both paid and volunteer ---- with whom I have interacted, WiseOdin had a strong sense of customer service, something that is too often lacking among Bytro's representatives. WiseOdin understood the need to maintain a courteous, professional detachment in his interaction with forum participants and Bytro's sometimes angry customers. Better than most, he knew when to apologize for Bytro's own problems, how to resolve those problems with a minimum of fuss, and when to read a forum participant or customer the riot act for their own misbehavior or discourtesy, and was always able to do so in a civil manner. It is a difficult job, a job which frankly should be held by a full-time paid professional with strong experience in customer relations, and that person needs to be a native English speaker in order to communicate effectively with the English language COW community.
I don't pretend to know the details of what happened, beyond those outlined by WiseOdin above, but Bytro Labs would do well to seriously reconsider their volunteer community administrator model. If WiseOdin fails your standard of responsiveness and ability to communicate effectively, then it is time to hire a full-time paid professional to run the community. Moreover, during his tenure as the English community administrator, he has assembled by far the best overall volunteer staff of English language moderators and game operators in my two years here. I sincerely hope that Bytro Labs' home office employees will not see fit to return to the sub-standard customer service, often untimely, and sometimes disrespectful interaction with forum participants and Bytro Labs customers before Odin took the reins. Whoever his successor may be, they have Big Shoes to fill.

.
We will miss you WiseOdin.
