Very nice... so you invite players to what is billed as a fair and honorable battle then add a layer of unwritten rules that we are supposed to guess at? At least be up front about it so we can be prepared. If AI are fair game then consider adding that to future rule sets. As a new player you rules on page 1 are very clear its either your 2 teammates or relations have to be peace or worse, and I feel like me and my allies have been given the shaft.
Well, sorry about that. It's hard to get every thing exactly right - we do not want a ruleset that is 5 pages long and we are not lawyers so we can't say with 100% certainty that everything is covered. It's actually been a matter in previous games where it was then explained, but I can understand that a new player doesn't have a chance of knowing this. We can't impose any rules over AI, they are a part of the game, so naturally you're allowed to get RoW from them (if you can).

We'll add it to the rules for next game or implement it somehow....

To further clarify the point had your rule been written

It's not allowed to give right of way (ROW) or shared map (SM) to another active player outside a coalition.

I believe that would be fair warning enough about AI being fair game.

I think the originally-interpreted meaning makes more sense and should be concisely written as thus:

"It's not allowed to GIVE right of way (ROW) or shared map (SM) to any nation outside of a coalition. However, if a coalition member abandons the match for any reason (including getting kicked), then you MAY retain the RoW that the AI will downgrade to."

I have a rule question of my own. Would a patrol or flyover of an opponent's territory be considered a violation of a NAP if not specifically covered by the NAP exit conditions? Also, would there be a distinction between a flyover and a patrol? Also, some patrols are damaging to opponent's provincial morale.

Thus it could be said that "Tactical Bombers on patrol over an opponent's territory would not be an act of war but Strategic Bombers on patrol over an opponent's territory would be an act of war because of morale damages caused by the Strategic Bombers."

It seemed like such a waste to destroy an entire battle station just to eliminate one man. But Charlie knew that it was the only way to ensure the absolute and total destruction of Quasi-duck, once and for all.

It doesnt matter, NAPs may be broken, whether its a wise thing to do regarding your good name for future games, is another matter.

That makes it sound like NAP's aren't worth bothering with. I say let peace be peace and if someone wants to make an agreement with another, you can call it a NAP if you want to, but it's unenforceable. And, unless Bytro implements a reputation system as I've suggested in another thread, your "good name" won't matter in the next match and the next and so on, since there are so many players.

You sign up for each match and have to look here at the forum for the password when the game begins on the 1st of every month.

Most players in the PL have been honorable and hold their word with regards to NAPs. In severe cases we may choose to impose a punishment if we feel it's out of control or damaging to the league.

I think in most cases, the other players handle that nicely :whistling:

I hope we would start August game with "Anonymous round" settings.

why? don't you want to be famous when you win the gold? Plus then why would the hall of fame be there

Actually that will be a really good idea I believe.

Hi, I think we will leave it in the way it is. the most player comunicate a lot over social networks, so they know where the friends are. For us as supporter for the PL, make our work mor complecate.

Maybe this is moot. But can we keep playing the tourney matches (old ones) to try to win Gold from the system? Or will those matches be disabled?

I didn't win my match by day 30, but I am still a viable player for the long term and would love to keep playing it.

Having so many active players made this a fun match and well worth continuing. Surely there are others interested in staying active in some of these matches.

Games will be closed as soon as some of the mods capable of doing that arrives.

Just want to say congrats to the winners!

Even if I did get my tail handed to me the last couple of days cause I was too trusting of an NAP :wallbash
