Player’s League:

The PL is a series of games which is created by players for players. The League starts every 1st. of a month a new game on different maps, with the players that have signed for the next game. Nobody needs to play every game. The winners of a match get points for the hall of fame. Direct any query or question you may have to miech, WildLobster or Xarus, Paramunac - the current PL organizers.

Prize:

The Player’s League starts in July in a new season. A season runs for six games, after the six month we get the winners of this season. The winners get following prize:

Winner gets 20.000 Gold and two months High Command for free
Second gets 10.000 Gold and one month HC
Third gets 5.000 Gold and two weeks HC

Standard Rules:

The use of GOLD is forbidden. (Controlled by Bytro support team)
After start we have a peace period until day-switch from day 3 to 4 for player and AI.
A maximum of 3 players per coalition/alliance.
The use of rockets and nukes is forbidden.
Be respectful to all players in the league.

Honor Rules:

It's not allowed to give right of way (RoW) or higher to any players outside a coalition/alliance.
You can leave a coalition. When you do, an automatic NAP is in place of 24 hours after you left a coalition.
You can make a NAP between two nations, but this must have a runtime or an exit condition such as ‘until day X’ or ‘48 hours after cancelling’.
We are all gentlemen, respect your opponent and treat people as you would want to be treated yourself!

Example of a standard NAP offer:

Country X to country Y:

I offer your country a NAP that ends in XX days, if any of us wants to cancel the NAP earlier there is a XX hr cancellation time.

In that time, you are not allowed to attack my country and no one else is allowed to use your land to attack me and vice versa.

Game Settings:

Each round starts on the first of a month at 08:00 am CET.
The time data is the game time. (See World Herald - daychange is 01:00 CET)
It's not allowed to enter a game after 48 hours. The password will be changed after this time.
Each game runs 30 days and will be ended after day change from day 30 to day 31. Winners are the players with the highest victory points from the World Herald.
Game language is English.
The nations will be randomized.
Players must have a rank of level 10 or higher

General information:

‘Standard rules’ are rules that are enforced by Bytro and the PL organizers. We alone choose what punishment rulebreakers must face, be it an in-game punishment or even expulsion from the game or the league.

‘Honor rules’ are rules that are not necessarily enforced by the PL organizers, however with extreme offenses we reserve the right to punish players for violations such as multiple hidden alliances or extreme cases of NAP abuse. We encourage players to be true to their word and not break a deal made with other players. If you’re not true to your word other players won’t trust you. Be careful when making honor deals with others.

If you go inactive during the game all agreements or partnerships are void immediately.

Do not spam the World Herald with questions or accusations. Contact the PL organizers or refer to the rules that are always posted on the forum including information about when you’re allowed to attack.

No Casimir, just no. There is no more respectful and honorable person in this game than Paramunac. If you wanted peace then you should have not declared war and attacked. It really is that simple. You want to talk about cause and effect? You even had a chance to join our coalition at Paramunac's recommendation. I generally take his recommendations very seriously. That's why I said no to you joining. Nothing personal. Everyone gets to play the game any style they want. But to join Flying Circus, you must play as a team first. I will do everything in my power to help the team finish 123 but I am not going to have members arguing which spot, 1 or 2 or 3 each player gets. You want to play those sort of games, make your own coalition and good luck.

That was your first mistake. Your second mistake was attacking Paramunac when he was offline taking a finals exam, and thinking I wouldn't jump in and do everything in my power to halt your advance and limit the damages done until Para could log in and we both as a team could defeat you. Then a few hours later when he did and your invasion of France failed pretending you could sue for peace and hope we would leave you with a rather large empire. Once again Paramunac relayed your attempts at diplomacy to me, and I said NO. You see even in diplomacy we work as a team in Flying Circus. Para is better at diplomacy, and works out the final proposals, and I talk it over with him and we decide together to accept or deny. In your case the answer was NO pretty early. But you kept trying for hours and then it stretched into days. It got pretty annoying after a while. If you didn't want a war you shouldn't have attacked, and no matter how awesome your peace proposals may have sounded to you, our decision was unconditional surrender to the last province. Don't worry, you can attempt revenge next month. You played a good game. You just got frustrated when it wasn't quite good enough.

That's all I am going to say on the matter, except don't try and ruin the reputation of Paramunac, who is both a good player and an honorable player. You should consider learning from him instead of trying to tear his reputation down with derogatory remarks in forums.

Hi guys. In my game (game 1) we had some discussions about a NAP broken too early and the consequences of this action. Now, I'm not here to protest or to tell who's right and who's wrong...I really don't care. I just want to give some suggestions, so hopefully in the next rounds there will be no more fights on the newspaper.

You don't say what kind of punishment. My idea is that you guys should write in a clear way in the forum threads what kind of punishments will follow when you break a honor rule. If you say "if you break a NAP you will be banned" before the round starts, no one's gonna protest during the game. And, at this point, I don't understand the presence of the honor rules: just say that respecting a NAP is a rule just like any other; only public statements on the newspaper (like "me and X will have a NAP for the next 7 days) will be considered proper NAPs, and if you break them you will be banned (or you will have a point deduction, or any other punishment you think it's right).

If you have a look to the first phrase in this thread, you read "the PL is a serie of games for players from players." So if you want to play in futur in this PL it's better to help us with suggestions or we close this PL.

I like to say that, if someone break a rule, he risk that he get banned from game.

Mine was just a suggestion, the PL idea is great but without seeing discussions on the newspaper would be even better

As I said, I don't care who's right and who's wrong in this particular case and - to be clear - I'm not protesting against anything since I'm not the player in discussion.

I'm just saying that, in order to stop every possibility of discussion, you should write in a clearer way what kind of punishment can be inflicted by mods in case of rule violation.

Isn't this a suggestion? I think so, but maybe my english is not good enough and it seems that I just want to create some controversy, I don't know.

Since you are all making this league almost impossible to run (every game lately has some sort of offenses or major discussions which destroys the game fun)

For the next rounds we are discussing a few new additions to the rules which will be posted shortly.

Just read your message. Indeed I did get frustrated as I had terrible experiences with broken words and arrangements before we even got into it with several players. When you guys offered me to join the alliance, in hindsight, I'd clearly have taken 3rd but at the time I was up in VPs over him and had 4 other players telling me they were ready to attack him. Not many players would have just accepted to take 3rd either. I attacked when our NAP was over and ended up being the only one to do so. Clearly the writing was on the wall right there and then so I sued for peace and offered anything possible to assure you guys. You said no and the rest is history. I never even looked at either of your records so lesson learned I will make sure I know my potential enemies AND friends before any diplomacy.

No hard feelings on my end and sometimes you just get rubbed the wrong way, words on here do not show emotional intent or not, and it is easy to get carried away.

Great game to you guys and at least I had 1 province left
