ranked = you gain points from building and killing plus you can get gold if you end the game with points

unranked = you don't gain points and you won't get gold if you win

The only meaningful consequence of a game being ranked is that your statistics -- provinces captured and lost, enemy units destroyed, your units lost -- count towards your statistical totals and contribute to your ranking as a player. (See the "Rankings" tab on the CoW main page, if you're unfamiliar.)

In order to be ranked, the "anti-cheat" option (bars multiple players using the same ISP address) must be enabled by the game creator, and the required number of live, human players must join the particular game round.

how do i know if its ranked?.

ranked is the automatic one, when it's not ranked, it'll be shown as "Not ranked"
