This issue is not happening with aircraft anymore, right?
The issue with ships is known, it will get fixed in a future update. it is only a visual glitch.

Reporting bug - Great Pacific Circumnavigation Glitch
In several games, I have encountered a bug involving aircraft. Aircraft operating from island bases in the Pacific in Historic World War maps have, when patrolling, frequently circumnavigated the world at considerable speed and arrived back where they started.
Recently in a World at War map, I have encountered similar issues with a cruiser.
The issue seems to be unique to the Pacific east of Melanesia.
I have before contacted the bug reports on CoW, but the issue has not been fixed with ships, only with aircraft (it appears).
What is going on, why, and how can it be rectified?
Aeroplanes are interesting toys but of no military value.
