I fully agree gold is not and never was a real problem.
WBs however are a different thing. They reduce the core characteristic of this game: strategy!
Strategy entails militairy, diplomatic and industrial/economic strategy. It requires to think ahead.
WBs reduce that aspect (and the 3 resource thing even further).
WBs introduced more magic into the game. With gold that was limited. Now it is in every game...
And yes, I use my WBs. And yes, it brings a new dymanic to the game.
But NO, it has not improved the game. It has degraded it further.
Now back to Carking's & wolverineM's 'funeral speeches':
This year has seen 2 destructive updates, both degrading the game.
This path will lead to a further simplyfied game, more P2W for 1-day-flie players and ever further destruction of the core elements which made this game great: strategy, fairness and being not-a-chinese-money-trap.
That is what WolverineM & Carking were stating.
That is why we - the long term players - are sad.
That is why we may have to say goodbye (again...as I did a few years back, only returning recently)
So, Metervet, I don't really see the relevance of your comment?
STOP THE DUMBIFICATION in favor of P2W & fly-by phone players!
