Rules for the 1914

Universal Rules

1. One day = 3 months

2. 1 article must be written every day (at least 50 words)

3. Blueprint units are banned

4. 7 day landswap, countries may help other to conquer territory

How about this:

- Russia will play as the Russian Empire and annex all of: Finland, Caucasus, Ukraine, Communist Russia, Karelia, and the Cossack Republic, Latvia and Estonia. Russia will also annex parts of Poland, and Romania.

The following provinces of Poland will be taken by Russia: Lida, Pinsk, Bialystok, Kielse, Tarnow, Lulbin, Warsaw, Lutsk, Zamosc, Przemysl, Lvov, Ternopil, Grodno, Vilnius, Seiradz, and Lodz

ALL OTHER POLISH PROVINCES WILL BE TAKEN BY GERMANY

THAT IS ALL THE LAND THAT RUSSIA WILL HAVE AFTER THE LAND SWAP PERIOD.

Germany shall annex parts of Poland, Czechoslovakia, and France.

Germany shall take the following Polish provinces (any Polish provinces not taken by the Russian Empire):

- Poznan

- [b]Danzig

- Bydgoszcz

- Olsztyn

- Cracow (I'm feeling generous)

Germany shall take the following French Provinces:

- Strasbourg

Germany shall take the following Czeck Provinces:

- Liberec

The United Kingdom will annex all of Ireland, All of Egypt (except for provinces listed below) and Nicosia from Greece.

The UK [b]WILL NOT annex the following provinces from Egypt:

- Amman

- Karak

- Akaba

- Jerusalem[/b]

-Gaza

Those Provinces will go to Turkey (Ottoman Empire).

The only province not to be seized by the UK will be Siwa Oasis, this is where someone's alt account will play as Egypt (having only 1 province as in line with the map. This alt-egypt will be paid sanctions rather than paying sanctions to a moderator.

Turkey will annex all of Syria, Iraq, Albania and Saudi Arabia (except for Jawf which will be a backup province for the alt Egypt to keep realistic borders and to make sure that it will always be protected (as Carking is not a troll and this province will be surrounded by Ottomans).

The rest of Greece will be taken by the Balkans who will play as Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia must seize territory before anyone else so they are not accidentally knocked out of the game.

Belgrade Will be taken by the Balkans

Spain will annex Western Sahara

Sweden will annex Norway

Canada will annex the province of Windsor from Detroit

Northern States of America will take over all of Detroit except for Windsor.

Southern United States will take Cuba

The following Yugoslav territories will be kept by the Balkans:

- Podgorica

- Pristina

- Nis

- Dubrovnik (they need 1 core city)

They will annex all of Bulgaria

As well as the following Romanian Provinces (The balkans will take these, not Russia)

- Bucharest

- Constanta

- Iasi

- Bacau

- Chisinau

- Braila

- Tulcea

- Ploesti

Libya will be annexed by Turkey

5.

All Bomber Aircraft are Banned until 1917

Fighters may be built from day one

All secret units except RRGs are banned.

All self Propelled Units are Banned

Germany may have 2 RRGs

France can have one

no other country is allowed railroad guns

Armored cars and infantry can be built in any ratio within your unit cap

you must have a 2 day build up of tensions to declare war

12 hours no aggression unless agreed to by both parties, must be posted in the newspaper

The option to surrender is open if you lose more than 75% of your country or 60% of your army or your capital.

while single air units may be shot down

Flipping political doctrine is allowed as long as you remain in your alliance

any battleship may be sunk if it is within range of the a province's node after a 6 hour warning

This also goes for cruisers which may also be sunk if they are within range

Unit Caps:

Russia: No Numerical, Technological is the level below the max (not blueprint)

France: 120 units

UK, Austria-Hungary, Italy, Ottoman Empire: 80 units

America (Combined): 80 units

Everyone else: 60

Germany: No cap at all

Industry:

Russia: Level 3

Ottoman Empire: Level 3

These Caps end in 1911

Don’t know what is up with Costawi and Wafflton, but I’ll try to have them on by tomorrow. Genz was here, the fact he hasn’t joined and gave no reason is on him. I see nothing wrong with killing South US at your leisure.

Unit Rules:[/u][/b]All blueprint-level units are banned:

following units are allowed with no limit on their levels:

- Infantry

- Militia

- Armoured Cars

- Artillery

- Interceptors

- Destroyers

- Submarines

- Cruisers

- Battleships

The following are allowed with a level cap:

- Strategic Bomber (as Zeppelins, they are capped at level 3)

- Motorised Infantry (capped at level 4)

The following are to be allowed, but later in the game

- Heavy Tanks (cap at level 3) - allowed in 1916

- Tactical Bombers (cap at level 3) allowed in 1917

- Naval Bombers (cap at level 3) allowed in 1917

France and Germany will also be able to produce Railroad Guns.

Mechanized is some as motorized*

Yeah, no. Germany is allowed 2 rrg and France is allowed 1 - its disputed whether Germany even had 1 rrg in ww2.

Nope, still banned. Unlocked up to level 3 at 1916, as mentioned.

Soldiers were transported by armored cars sometimes, so level 2-4 wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I thought only heavy tanks were allowed at 1916. While the first tanks were light by WW2 standards, they behaved as heavy tanks did, therefore I think only heavies should be allowed.

I mean it is alt history,even if light tanks took until 1917

We probably should change the time per day. Since planes are unlocked at 1917, 7 years will basically be the end of the game, making them useless.

Disagree. Planes were useless in ww1 except for reconnaissance anyway - besides, I used 5 level 3 ints to damage France’s arty stack quite a bit, so ints are fine for that purpose and realistic in that sense

Then what’s the point of making them even unlock able? They will have 0 use anyway.

The point of making them unlockable is that militaries should progress throughout the war - there may be a very few amount of planes towards the end. This is realistic!

You underestimate their worth. Bomber planes were invented in 1914, and used during the war. They progressed and did at least some damage. Having them so late feels unnoble.

The Zeppelin raids were complemented by the Gotha G bombers from 1917, which were the first heavier than air bombers to be used for strategic bombing, and by a small force of five Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI "giant" four engined bombers from late September 1917 through to mid-May 1918

The daylight attack on London by 20 Gothas on 13 June 1917 killed 162 civilians, the highest death toll from a single air raid on Britain during the war. Less than a month later, on 7 July, a further raid in which 57 more people were killed raised British anti-German sentiments to fever pitch.

In Call of War, tactical and attack bombers simply do too much damage to be allowed early on for a WW1 RP. As I mentioned earlier, I managed to do reasonable damage to France’s artillery with just interceptors.

This rule won’t be changed…

That’s why we cap them at a lower level. Tactical and attack bombers at level 3 or 4 are reasonable, I would say. We are doing that with other units, so we might as well.l do the same here.

I disagree tbh - unless we cap them at level 1 before 1917. I pasted the report saying the most devastating attack had about 200 casualties?

you have to remember that if like, Russia just spammed level 3 and 4 tacs and attacks, no one would be able to stand against him - this is simply unrealistic and unreasonable. Maybe cap them at level 1 - beyond that wouldn’t be used in ww1 because the technology just wasnt available
