Russian Boi

Just joined a 22p as Russia. I have never played this country before (hate comintern doctrine btw) and was just wondering what the community thinks I should do first. Should I go for Ukraine to get needed metal/oil? Or should I take to the north, hitting up Karelia and Finland before moving into scandi?

• Joined a coalition with Germany and Turkey
• Germany is a level 137player
• Poland, FInland, and the communists seem inactive
• Turkey is invading Caucasus who seems to be a noob player
• Ukraine is level 98 player, won't respond to my messages
• Another coalition formed with Spain, Italy and Yugo Slavia
