Ok Built a nice Russian Road network the pride of the workers Blah Blah Blah, Once it helped me move units. now the German player (a very good player by the way) is zooming up my nice roads and taking my cities one by one. Blitzkreig map by the way. Anyway love the Game love the players, my skills not so much. Happy New Year. 
Seems like the thing to do is hold down the next point on the network, since that's going to be his next stop.
You could go back a few more stops and start fortifying as well.
Did he outflank your units, or destroy your front lines opening up the vulnerable interior?
He did an very nice welled planed Pincher move. I stopped him outside Moscow trapped some troops behind the lines. I got a Peace out of it with him giving back all captured lands. But I was out of Manpower so I had to go to the Peace table.
