Share your favorite stacks!
Ever had those moments where you make a killer stack and you feel so good about it? I just did. Day 9 in World at War, and I know that no one else will rule the seas with this stack around

And take a peek at the stats:

A perfect all-around naval stack.
Anyways, feel free to share your favorites here as well. I'll be posting more stacks here whenever I get really good ones.
P.S. Advice for Naval players: Allied and Pan Asian doctrines are great!

My favorite way is the use of bonemeal, if you can make a mob farm then itโs really easy to grow tulips.

Here's another fun HT stack that just finished upgrading. Middle of Day 15 right now. That plains boost, damn

donโt be so mean thoughK.Rokossovski wrote:
Shut up, Brando. There's really no reason to keep shouting to us to stay on topic, interesting viewpoints are developing and do you really want to stop that?? The subject in itself is uninteresting (there ARE no favorite stacks, they are task-based), if you're irritated about that take the thread from your watch list. Many threads derail, I remember a recent thread about playing France HWW into a heated debate about overstacking iirc; what is wrong with this one and saying it every 10 seconds, even connecting the issue to people's intelligence??Brando Dilla wrote:

So, what is your favorite method of growing tulips?

True but Brando was going around insulting peoples intelligence for a pretty weak reasonโฆ so what can you really expect?Destructo the Great wrote:

Itโs so beautiful I love it. This is the only time Iโll say I love anything good about heavy tanks in this game though. Except that they look cool.jubjub bird wrote:

Dang bro, that's a killer stack. Maybe I will try out your HT spam thing some time.jubjub bird wrote:

I starting to think Jubjub Bird's play though is having the effect of glamorizing heavy tanks...Brando Dilla wrote:

Well A) They look cool, and B) They're a good unit if you use them correctly (like @jubjub bird)6thDragon wrote:

I dunno if I'd call them "good" but they're certainly powerful and can be fun to use
If the enemy has no arty then no enemy can stop a stack like that basically.jubjub bird wrote:

You pretty much have to shoot and scoot to survive a stack like that.
And hope you have enough room to retreat while you're doing the scooting.
Once your back is against the ocean, or your capital, then it's
time.
Yeah basically, five of those stacks would take on any artyless army, including my usual forcesโฆ Is there even a melee stack that could challenge that? Like one with the same amount of units of course, other than more heavy tanks lol.z00mz00m wrote:

Or a lot of tank destroyers, levelled up and in provinces where they would receive terrain bonuses.Carking the 6th wrote:

If we're talking about stacks that are fun to play, one of my go to stacks with Commies are to pair 5 each SP arty, SP rocket arty, 5 SPAA, also including two ACs and TDs. You can shoot and scoot all day without much fear of anything catching you. You'll be able to pound about anything you encounter away into oblivion, you'll have enough AA value that only the most determined air player will attack you. The TDs are a must because of your vulnerability to a tank rush.jubjub bird wrote:

The downside is that the SPAA isn't available to research until day 6, so it'll take you about two or three days to research it, build enough to be effective, and get them to your front lines. Another downside is that without building air yourself, if you encounter an air player, you can't really ungroup from these stacks and any ACs you have rushing to scout and grab undefended terrain are vulnerable.
When played with Commies, the SP rocket arty are available on day 4 and with the reduced production costs, these stacks aren't that expensive to build.
Again, fun to play, but certainly has a few downsides.
... and when you run into a powerful air force, you can spin up rocket fighters in the mid/late game.
This allows you to focus on what you (for sure) need: solid bombardment from your arty/rrarty combo.
You can delay (and possibly avoid) researching what you may not need: an advanced air force.
