Wow, people are actually taking inspiration from my playthrough and from @_Pyth0n_’s idea! I’m honoured.

Looks like you’re doing well so far - I’m sure you’ve read through my playthrough, but I might give some advice anyway. From my experience, you will struggle with goods and manpower mostly - so build recruiting stations early, and focus industry on provinces producing goods. Also, be wary of Axis doctrines - they’ll be a lot harder to tackle than Comintern!

I could add so much more, but I’m sure you want to carve your own niche in this, so I’ll leave you to it. Best of luck my friend!

Update-Middle of day 3.

As SamPGS_17 stated, I've got trouble with goods and manpower, so Im building recruiting stations and industry.

I do have a lot of steel, oil, and rares, which I can sell to get goods, which are unusually cheap (10324 at 5.6)

so I will most likely be having a large airforce. Meanwhile, I'm reasearching Med tanks and Mot. Inf. as they will be my primary ground units alongside ordnance and ACs.

I would have taken warshaw, if not for a last-minute polish stack arriving to defend it. I guess I'll just keep on bombarding then.

I faced very low resistance in Poland, as he seems active but I think he threw all his rersources at Germany.

The only real threat is France, a lvl 60something player. Apart from that, I seem the most experienced player there.

As of writing this, I will most likely have 20 or 21 cities at daychange out of the 63 required.

Hmm, it looks like you're doing better than I was on day 3 - keep it up!

If I do another Ukraine playthrough, I may research medium tanks earlier.

Interesting choice investing into an air force - I never did because I thought it would be a waste of my goods, but if it works out for you I might just have to give it a shot.

Overall, brilliant tbh! I would say, if Caucasus is active, just put 3 or 4 infantry in that city bordering them. If they surprise attack you whilst you're asleep, that can be your entire core lost. After you've secured yourself against Caucasus your core should be good.

Also, you'll have to consider when you're going to betray Finland and Turkey - maybe send them on a war elsewhere, so their core is empty, and you can blitz with motorised infantry in their cores.

I've also started a Ukraine game: Not sure if I'll make a playthrough, but I'll list my strategy here:

My initial troop disposition is the same as Sam's; half and half, and one half will go to the Caucasus. However, I feel that the goods city in Iasi is not worth the trouble, so I will instead go for the 2 rural and 1 city containing food in Poland (Lvov). Right off the bat, I will make two recruiting stations and use the food captured from loot to sustain myself. Downsides is no early goods, but I've made the same setup as Sam so no need prolly for too many goods, I'll maybe limit myeslf to 3 ints total for day 1 (I might just run out of RMs, in any case). Anyhow, Vilnius (a goods city) is not too far away to conquer.

Ooh okay! I look forward to seeing how your Ukraine game compares to mine, too… I imagine better with the knowledge! I’m tempted to do another one to see if I can improve as well.

By the way, I’ve just ordered the invasion of Italy and Germany - and I have 18% armies, Germany has 12%, Italy has 7%. Hopefully if their armies are sufficiently dispersed I shouldn’t do too badly. However, I did make one mistake - I could’ve saved money to try to get a reveal all armies on them, but completely forgot. No matter… time will tell

So, today was a hectic day, and I didnt have time for pics. Today was nice and as planned except one thing when poland sirprised me with a stack of militia in a random forest. I lost 1 aa to that. Its day 5 now, and i have 250 VPs out of 630, so a bit more than a 3rd done. I gained 60vps, wich, if that continues, i should be on track for the win on day 11. Turkey is pretty active and just invaded caucasus with me, so ill keep him around to fight the annoying 1 city AIs. Finland, on the other hand..... i think ill order him on a suicide mißion into sweden and kill him, which should give me 80 vps. I have captured berlin, and will take 2 more german cities within the hour. I still have a goods and manpower problem, but its significantly better than yesterday.

Day 6: (Its day 5 but daychange soon)

To summarize, I can put two words; I overextended.

I got a stack in russia, a stack and a half in caucasus, and 3 In romania, when suddenly both France and Italy declare on me (They are players.) To make matters worse, I just invaded Yugo and the AI is really screwing me with those random AA units in provinces.

I got only a stack and a light tank in germany, so I am rusing the units to the south and the LT will capture the empty polish provinces.

Caucasus manages to take crim, but thankfully i should recapture it with my tacs helping.

I am rushing the faraway stacks to the balkans, but they will get there in 10 hrs, so I am holding my position as of now.

I'm not fearing for the whole thing, but this can set me back a bit.

Finland hasnt responded yet.

Right now, It's about to be daychange, and hopefully I get a all rerveal on italy.

At daychange, i will have 300VPs plus 30 to be captured within the hour.

Day 7:

We are SO back!!! Its not yet Joever!!

For some reasons unknown, Italy decided to give me ROW.

I also got a all-reaveal on him, So I can just roll in with my Panzers and take everything.

From the reveal, it seems he has a small navy, and some scattered land forces.

Easy win.

Yugo is amlsot crushed, and finland has no yet responded. He seems to be inactive, so Ill just invade him.

My producationis good, and I'm churning out about 2 stacks per day.

Czech declared, so I will need to kill him too. No matter though, I aleady got a stack prowling near its border in case that happened.

Next target is france, who i managed to secure a temporary peace with.

Well lads, things are neither bad nor good.

I am taking italy, but he still has 5 italian and 3 spanish cities left, so those will be a pain to take. Algeria will soon declare on me, as hes sending units to italy. Honestly, theyre weak af but If i fight too many people itll slow me down. Im not concerened for the victory, vut for capturing 63 cities by day 11. Ive got 41 now, and i think its realistic to assume I can capture 21 more, especially as there are just 5 free ones italy.

This is start of day 9.

Well lads, I think this game will not be it. I need 200 more vps, and that is almost impossible in 6 hrs. Maybe this still will be a record though, if we don't get to see the turk 11 day win. I learned a few important lessons from this though, and I will create a new game tomorrow.
