Strategies

When I began playing Call of War, I established a strategy thought of by myself, the Bullcharge Strategy. It is an aggressive one, and worked well for a while. That is, until I suffered my worst defeat ever as France, and was destroyed by Poland and Yugoslavia.

That is why, about 3 months ago I overhauled my old strategy and worked a new one, what I like to call a “Never Surrender” policy. It brought me my first solo win, and so far has worked brilliantly.

Let me tell you of that solo win. I was the Soviet Union, industrialised myself well, took Mongolia Manchukuo and Eastern Europe. China betrayed me, and attacked me. I used Bullcharge initially, and unbelievably suffered 130,000 casualties within days. (the casualties I took overall exceeded 230,000), Lost Mongolia and Manchukuo, the far east and let china grasp the upperhand. Then I switched to my new strategy, which is primarily defensive. In Europe I also used the new strategy, and dug in against German Italian assaults rather than launch offensives, from there I bombed the Germans and Italians and used artillery, then slowly advanced one province at a time, ensuring no casualties suffered and 100% chance of victory. Meanwhile in the east I built the Line of Asia, the best defensive line I have ever seen built, possibly one of the best EVER. It stretched from Novosibirsk to Almaty to Askahabad, covered the whole front. It was maxed fortifications all the way, and behind the immediate front I had built 2 rows of lvl one forts to fall back on. I had also built the BEST ROAD NETWORK EVER, maxed infrastructure completely covering my uran provinces to the eastern front. There for I was able to reinforce the front very quickly. With my strategy ensuring my safety in Europe, I ONLY reinforced the east. For every frontline province I had 3-5 high level artillery and SP artillery just behind the centre of the province, as well as a railroadgun for every province. 5 (3 lvl4 tacs, 2 elite fighters) planes also patrolled every province. I also optimise the terrain, kept Commandos in mountains and forests and tanks on the fields and infantry on the hills. Every province had 1-3 anti air, and 1 SP AA. China did not break through for two weeks, and I was able to double my force in that time as well as fully take Germany, Italy and the Balkan. So China sued for peace, and I accepted. We reformed an alliance, and I took back my territory. Once again I was betrayed, however, and china attacked. I had thickened the Line of Asia, so now it went on row beyond Novosibirsk. China launched attack after attack but could not break through. His casualties mounted, and by launching weak raids on his ships I made him produce a large navy that ate up his oil. Through other methods and keeping him from oil, I succeeded in completely cutting off his oil which meant he began producing only infantry units, all of which he had maxed out. Luckily I had a large force of elite Armored Cars, and so I began the First Soviet Offensive. It gave me a further two rows of provinces beyond Novisibirk, and two urban cities. I dug in oncemore. By now the whole east had become maxed out forts and infra and airstrips, and I kept on inforcing it. Because of my stable front, I easily kept on with my conquest of North America, took Alaska and Canada (For some reason China never crossed over,) then began slowly taking the US. In Africa I took Libyia, and eventually France and then the UK. My power reached high peaks, now I owned Europe and was churning out 3000 for every resource, Every urban province I had was at least lvl 2 industrial complex. After finishin Europe I sent 120 units to the East, once more China made peace and oncemore he betrayed, then made an alliance then betrayed once again. His armies finally became depleted of armor, and so I launched the Second Soviet Offensive. My armored cars rushed in alone, and took out 30-40 chinese infant units befire getting killed by the Chinese air force. Then I moved the whole fornt forward by two rows and dug in again, sending a few motorized infantry ti disorganize the Chinese. Finally I sent 5 maxed medium tanks from every province alongside anti air for a slow one by one advance that would suppress revolts and also about 80 maxed LTs wth SP AA. My othr units stayed on the front. China was overwhelmed, and after Turkey and Persia betrayed me and I beat them, I won the round.

My point is, I wonder if you have any better core strategies, because recently I lost a round as Germany because of my new strategy, I woukd have actually won that if I had been slightly more aggressive.
