How about Rail Road Gun? Like Long range artillery. I am sure armoured train cannot fight normal infantry without train tracks.
Suggestion for armored trains.
HelLo, so I got this idea about armored trains because they don't have it in Cal of war and these things existed at the time of ww2 and call of war is a ww2 game so it might good if they put it in gaame. sorry my englisH bad.

Are there any examples of successful strike using an armoured train?
the polish defensse of their contry when our country was invading themRyan04px2025 wrote:

Trains are not a producible unit because of the way the game works. You don't need to move materials or supplies around, and with higher level infrastructure units automatically move faster based on the assumption that trains are involved. These fundamental concepts do not require manipulation by the user for the game experience.

So people shoot from Trains or large artillery canons shoot there?blue44elephant wrote:

Trains in WW2 were like airships, tankettes or battlecruisers : yes they were used but their role in the grand scheme of things was extremely accessory and they were survivors of WWI (or for the tankette : from the 20ies // 30ies). They are in my opinions units that were more used than trains, that would not be as complex to implement and that are still missing, for instance cavalry units.
they put heavy machine guns, artillery and auto cannoons on them and also have some carriage with a tank on it for more power. me and my unit commander once went poland together to warsaw and we saw a picture of it in one meuseumRyan04px2025 wrote:

that one above is my great grandfather's tank of 4th panzer division it got destroyed at battle of mokra shred apart by the armored trains auto cannons and mounted top veiw guns so from historrical point Armored traines were good. credit to digital accounts of Bundeswehr Military History Museum in dresden, germany
I think they are tanks though. They run on rails?
I think amoured trains are a GOOD idea!
BUT letβs make it HARDeR TO USE
An armoured gran can ONLy move into provinces that have infrastructure!
since the texture for infrastructure is like a railroad
RRG's can go into provinces without infrastructure in the game but not IRL. However, if the enemy is in the forest and you are in the rails unable to get to them... That won't be really useful
i know more about ballistics and parabolic trajectory and i can say auto cannons are not a joke becuse the rounds fired can go and land 1-2 km with good acuracy and european miltary doctrines rely heavily on ranged weaponry for battlefield survivability and units are Not scattered to put maximumm pressure on enemy airforce when they try to bomb. your questoin has been answeredRyan04px2025 wrote:

Hello, it looks like projectiles and ballistic/explosives that you mentioned are used in modern world and not WWII. Also implementation of similar things will require great amount of coding and wouldn't be easily implemented. However, the picture you have really looks like a tank.
the trains actualy had those guns i am just saying that the train was very good weapon. and that picture that you call a tank is called panzer in our language and as for doctrinees even after almost 76 years of ww2 european doctrines still haven't changed muchRyan04px2025 wrote:

The armored train was a terrible weapon by WW2 except a few lucky happenstance or as a slightly mobile bunker in cities. It is rail bound, it canβt really hide, it canβt be massed, it can be avoided or mobility killed easily, and it took significant personal to man it.
WW2 armored trains were all survivors of WW1 or of the wars of 1919// early 20ies

So Panzers seem to not run on rails. Are you referring to something else?Ryan04px2025 wrote:
