In my opinion, Australia is one of the more intriguing countries to command on the 1939 world map that poorly masquerades itself as some kind of 'historical war game'. As for your AWP, there is a high probability that you have just killed your kangaroo continent if certain conditions exist, like no one has quit so far and no idiots or inexperienced rookies control the closest countries or colonies to you. I picked Kuala country a few times when I first started playing back in the spring of 2016 and like most people unfamiliar with a new game, never advanced far or fast as I basically bought as many different units as I could, just to see what they could do and did not even know about players having records of their achievements kept til much later. The three times I played Australia, a European coalition won the game, but no one ever landed in my home country as I began to figure out how best to blend my economy with my strategy, and what units to build or not. To start with, if the Japanese player is only just average in skill and makes a determined effort against Australia with his huge high tech, high seas fleet, there is little or nothing Canberra can do to stop being overrun. If however the Japanese interests lie elsewhere, allowing Australia time to breath and build, you should always take out New Zealand first, before Indonesia, because they have a capital that Aussies desperately need to raise the low morale they start with and if the Kiwis are attacked before they can start building more units, they can be taken out easily in one day, or you can leave them some provinces in hopes they build another capital city you can seize. At the end of a game I like to see what A.I. did in surviving countries and if N.Z. is one of them, I've often counted between 30 and 50 land units and a dozen or more cruisers and destroyers circled about their Islands. Australia must expand quicker than other countries in order to just keep pace and if say Japan and India do block your advance, you don't want to pull any of your forward units back to take N.Z. later for fear of weakening your front line.
