Hello. This will be a live "timeline" since this is a running game (altho i have written 1st march cos i didnt know actual date, but this is live game). I have written it very storylike, and wont reveal which nation i am till the end. If its too story like and you want a direct answer just ask!! Please like thank you.
March 1st 1939- German Empire creates the Axis Confederation, which Japan and Italy quickly join. Meanwhile France, the United Kingdom and Poland form Entente. The USSR remains neutral.
The Wehrmacht launches its invasion of Poland. The country collapsed incredibly fast, the “Sons of Germany” unwilling to let any Polish provinces fall to the Soviet Communists, although the USSR will manage to grab slivers of land. The invasion will see a mere 700 Germans die, but Poland is occupied. Entente remains silent, while Germans are jubilant. The German War Machine begins to grow, the Reich hungrily looking to the East and West.
Meanwhile in East Asia Japan launches a huge invasion of Nationalist China, its Manchurian puppet fighting alongside it. Japanese air forces decimate Chinese divisions, and soon Japan begins an unstoppable advance.
Back in mainland Europe, the German Reich invades and occupied Amsterdam. It will turn into the Reich’s main naval base, with Hamburg temporarily switching to production of the Panzer 35t. The Third Reich begins consolidating its gains, its military increasingly powerful. The Luftwaffe begins patrolling the Siegfried Line whilst the German economic might grows.
March 2nd 1939- Il Duce of Italy, Benito Mussolini, invades Yugoslavia with a large army. Italian divisions cut deep into Slavic territory, while the Reich joins the war, sending two infantry divisions and occupying part of Yugoslavia, and Hungary. The “neutral” USSR conquers the Balts, and warns the Third Reich against invading Romania.
China, Warrior of Japan, Ithaki Timisoara:
He looked around him. Everywhere he saw soldiers of the Empire like him. He swelled with pride as he spotted Chi-Has and “Zeros”. China had been crushed in the latest Japanese offensive, and Ithaki had been there to see it all. The Chinese militia had barely offered resistance. Now his unit was nearing the final Chinese province not yet under the Flag of the Rising Sun, Chengdu.
For weeks Japan had laid siege to the capital. Now was the time to take it. Out of nowhere Ithaki’s unit suddenly came under fire. He ran forward and ducked, shooting at the attackers, his bullets ending the life of two men. After a brief firefight and a direct hit from a Chi-Ha, the 17 Chinese militia lay dead. Ithaki leaned down, and looked at their guns. French. He spat. Of course it was the French. He had heard of the Empire’s growing friendship with the Third Reich, and her growing enmity toward Entente. Soon the sun will set on their Empire and rise on ours, he thought to himself, smirking.
In Asia, the Japanese drive west with enormous speed, conquering Chengdu, the final Chinese province, Mongolia and going toward Tibet and Xingjian. They have properly incorporated “Banzai Charges” into their military doctrine, launching mad, gigantic attacks with no reserves and with a single rush. Against a superior foe, they would stumble, but so far the Empire outguns every enemy it has come up against.
In Germany the war machine intensifies. Poland Blitz veterans remain in the East to monitor Soviet activity, while Konigsberg is transformed into the largest tank manufacturing province of the East. Its Western counter-part, Cologne, turns out Germany’s first Heavy Tank. Spanish forces are discovered in the Maginot Line, and Germany begins to grow worried at the huge number of Entente forces on the French border. Meanwhile the Reich plans the invasion of Belgium. Manpower becomes scarce, every single unit needed and craved. The Reich is stripped of reserves.
March 3rd 1939, A Storm Rages- To the shock and horror of Der Fuhrer of the Third Reich, French troops invade Fascist Italy. Whilst Germany refuses to go to war with France, it is extremely damaging to relations. Peace is maintained, and Germany watches, pained, as Italy is conquered. It somehow finds the units to cover its new Southern flank. Meanwhile a proper invasion of France’s ally, Yugoslavia begins as payback. German fury knows no bounds, and a lone British carrier is sunk by a German submarine. This somehow does not lead to war with Entente, and although official peace with the UK is never declared, the war remains inactive, except for a German naval assault which saw 2 destroyers of the British sunk with no German ships damaged.

“What difference does it make if destruction is wrought under the name of dictators or in the name of democracy?”
