yeah germany crushed the british fleet then went AFK
The brits hd had to failed naval invasions, so they were low on troops.
They were at war with luxembourg, which just landed and took them over 3 provinces at a time

I believe I've alluded to this several times in the forums so it's not completely new, but my most cursed game was the HWW where I (Nationalist China) used my right of way through Xinjiang, Russia and Romania to invade the latter by parking a tank in a couple of their cities and declaring war a day later. It took most of the game for the European colony and the Asian empire to join up.
The best bit was how I was sitting there being sus as hell for over a day, and they did nothing (and were active; they were doing nothing within the actual game but I was talking to them on diplomacy around that time).

True but it's possible to go around. (How viable that option is depends on how much funding the US/Philippines put into their navy, but it's still an option.)
