Time to end election drama; Conclusion of the Election

I felt the urge to make this thread...

So, the thing is that for the past 1 month, the single word 'election' has dominated this forum. There have been way too many off topic discussions because of this single thing. Usually, elections wouldn't be this controversial, but this time it is different. We need to end this drama and for the sake of this, the great forum community needs to unite and end our differences. This site doesn't need endless election drama, we had an election Mid-Jan, let us please act in a civil way and accept its result. Losing an election or failing to participate in it doesn't mean one can riot and demand a new election for no apparent cause.

You couldn't argue that the elections were rigged, it was conducted by @AnonymeggABC1234 in Opinion Poll: Do you support Claudio NVKP? - General Discussions - Call of War- Forum. Anon, as you know is anti-MAfGA, and is more Taffyta and co leaning person. Not exactly neutral, but anyways, a good person to conduct a poll

Let us analysis that poll.

i)Firstly, you might argue that "Hey!! it was an opinion poll and not an election! How dare you!". Yeah, it was indeed an opinion poll, but what makes you think that the people who voted there for either side won't vote in an election. A lot of people saw that as an election as well. This is why there was such a massive turnout, 34 total people and it got more than 5000 views!! The "poll" in the name of the thread led to people vote in those large numbers. I agree that the election should have been more organized, but we can't do anything about it, can we? The more threads you make about the same topic, the less popular it gets. In fact, that thread WAS accepted as the election thread by the opposition party as well. Quite respectfully, Tafftya conceded the election. This is why, claiming that poll is fraud is totally illogical. So, yeah, let us accept that as the real election thread.

ii) Now, let us dig into that thread. The poll states:

11 for Claudio

14 for Taffyta

As you might know that the rule is that you need to be a member for a minimum of 6 months, this was done to ensure that rigging and cheating becomes difficult. So, with that let us sort the votes and give real counts. (I've attached pictures of the people who voted).

Claudio:

9 of the 11 voters have been a member since 2023 or before. Henrik became a member for 6 months during the voting period (On 13th Jan),so his vote counts. Only WilhelmSchutlz wasn't eligible to vote. Yes, some of these players are now banned, but were unbanned when the poll occurred. So, their vote counts.

So total votes for Claudo:10

Taffyta:

6 of her 14 voters weren't a member for at least 6 months, they are:

Bandersnatch, VonEchoWolf, BrailaDenis, Coptic Surprise (LOL), General Shanefeyld, Wilhelm Karl II.

Technically, AnonymeggABC wasn't 6 months old when voting occurred (He turned 6 months old on 23rd), but I've counted his vote, as the difference is too little and also because Henrik's vote was also counted.

So total votes for Taffyta; 14-6=8

That is, Claudio had 2 more votes than Taffyta and is hence the winner. I don't see a point to rebel after this, let us respectfully and in a civil manner accept this mandate and move on. The purpose of this forum is game discussion, while offtopic has always been an integral part of this site, this doesn't mean that this shit show can continue. The next Prez election will occur in Jan 2026.

Also, some cool statistics from the poll:

Mean age of Claudio voters: 3.06 years (A rough estimate)

Mean age of Taffyta voters: 1.06 years.

Claudio won an election? Really? I can't believe that our standards fell down to this level. Also, I promise to be decent again, so please forgive me.

The only thing I disagree with is the renaming of the Spanish server. It's in no way connected to the English one
