Uprising.

Honestly this has made the game tedious for me played for about a year. and this just takes the piss in my opinion. no fun whatsoever and very slow paced even more so than it is

Agree. Even when the morale was up to 45% suddenly lost some artillery. Nothing in the Front reports. Thought it was a glich. Checked paper - nothing. Then 10 mins later said I lost a regiment in an uprising.

Bit stupid really it is not in the front reports then.

Yes very tedious.

I believe that the paper gets updated every 10 minutes. As for uprisings, there are two ways to diminish them. One is by leaving a regiment there for a few hours. The other is by building structures- such as forts, and infrastructure.

well to be fair they just "fixed" the uprising chances ^^

Uprising does happen a bit too often but do you realize it helps you as well as is and to you? You can get provinces that were taken from another player, which was what just happened to me this morning!

I found a 'paper' on how to quel them and IIRC it said above 30% you were ok, but I think in 1.5 that 'may'? have changed.

yeah I think they changed it. How old was the paper it might need to be updated

Making the AI smarter and increasing the possibility of revolt in newly-acquired provinces have been GOOD for this game.

The previously-common yet unrealistic strategy of sending a bunch of lone AC careening forward in all directions from a breakthrough (or landing them in an isolated spot half-way across the map) has been partially mitigated; that is, the strategy can still be employed but tends to be less effective. Players must be more sensible in their battle planning now.

And cheers to that!

which costs loads in the long run. not a good option really. would take months and months to win lets. say a world war 100 map.

Just station units in low morale cities and stuff so the city doesn’t rebel and if a non-urban rebels just move your units into that province.

I agree ... But I believe that the game designers meant it to be costly ... As my old papa (RIP) used to say: 'Nothing in this world is free'.

The only changes to chance of uprising between 1.0 and 1.5 has to do with the strength of the units required to prevent a rebellion, as the strengths of units are different between 1.0 and 1.5

With regards to province morale there is no longer a war penalty, although the distance to capital range has been increased to maintain balance.

OK thanks but what is it 1.5?

1.5 is a new update that changes a lot of the core mechanics of the game. You'll see some games in the 'New Games' list listed as 1.5. All others are 1.0.

Note some new players may only see 1.5 games in this list.

Hi Jacques, I think you missed something there not helped by me missing out a word (doh)! What is the force needed to stop an uprising in CoW 1.5.

well either way i dont find the game fun. and its free cause some people pay and i wont be doing that if it stays. its just not FUN

When you get experienced enough you will be able to defeat people who pay with good startagies.

I haven't looked into testing the exact strength required, though I'm sure it depends on what the morale is.

On desktop, or desktop mode, you can select the (i)info button next to "Morale" when you select the province and it tells you what current rebellion chance is, and it takes into consideration the current garrison in that calculation.

I do this and just leave...plenty.

The strength needed to suppress is currently higher than intended and will be lowered in one of the next game updates, perhaps together with some other tweaks as well.

There is freezy something I downloaded where somebody calculated for every % condition, that is why I ask.
