***I've not made one of these "mock guides" in a while so bear with me here***
Want to be the worst USSR invader possible? Just follow the steps in this thread and you'll have everyone laughing at you in the newspaper before you know it.
1. Preparation. When the German army invaded the USSR in 1941, they spearheaded with tanks. Operation Barbarossa failed which mean using tanks is a bad idea. DO NOT USE TANKS IN YOUR INVASION. Instead, spearhead with militia.
2. Have a VERY VERY spread out attack. The USSR is big so you should cover as much land as possible in your attack. Assign equal amounts of units to each province.
3. DO NOT ATTACK MOSCOW. The German army was defeated outside of Moscow which means that you should Stay at least 3 provinces away from this city even if it is empty.
4. If your initial attack fails, retreat everything out of the entirety of Europe and surrender.
Initiating the attack:
1. Move all militia (for the spearhead) to the famous city of Leszno where they can dine off of some amazing Czernina. It is far enough to not be spotted by enemy troops.
2. when the time comes, spearhead an attack to Stalingrad. Germany lost the war there so you should take it as fast as possible. Militia's natural speed and knowledge of the terrain should help with this. As they do not have trucks or half tracks, militia should move extra fast due to the lack of need to bring fuel.
3. After seizing Stalingrad, move EVERYTHING SOUTH and to seize khelvachauri in case it has any soldiers in it. If they are wise, the Soviets will also spam militia so you should be able to deal high damage to the soviet defenders.
4. Next, move all of your militia north to Naryan mar to perform a decisive "pincer" technique even though all of your troops are at one side.
5. Finally, send stacks of 1 militia to seize each individual city. The soviet army is of no concern as you should have defeated it in khelvachauri.
Some more interesting tips
1. The USSR has a lot of manpower. To stop this, build recruiting stations in provinces that are flashing red as these ones need attention. Do not go past lvl one as you cannot spare the resources
2. STAY AWAY FROM THE COAST especially as the UK due to the fact that the USSR has an OP navy.
3. Given that the Soviet navy is OP, you need to protect the coast around Hamburg against an amphibious counter-attack. Naval bombers work best for this. Since your enemy might also develop aircraft carriers and chase your naval bombers from the sky, you'll also need fighters to protect them. Make sure you operate them in your homeland and don't move them to the actual front under any circumstances; a naval invasion may be launched very unexpectedly.
4. Make sure that all your cities have all production buildings like tank factories, barracks, naval yards, and aircraft factories, so you can be versatile and switch production quickly as the military situation warrants.
