Part 1: The Initial Invasion
Hello, everyone. So, I said that the goal of this playthrough was to play Historic World War as Japan. But I would declare war on everyone at once. I lied a little. I will only declare war on countries that are close to me. As I expand, I will declare war on more countries. I waited 12 hours to declare war on the first group of unlucky countries.
Then, I began the invasion.
Enemies: Manchukuo, both Chinas, Mongolia, U.S.S.R, Siam, England, France, Netherlands, U.S.A, Australia.
Even though I haven't declared war on everyone yet, I am still fighting a formidable coalition. I began planning which targets to invade very early on. Before I made my invasion, the Chinas were infighting. Manchukuo was invading the Soviet Union. A word of advice to anyone who plays Manchukuo, do not invade the Soviet Union. It's not worth it. You might be able to win, but you will only gain a few cities. It also leaves you ripe for Japanese invasion.
Finally, the Dutch were invading Siam.
The political situation was also intense. There were two major coalitions. The UK, France, and Germany. There was also the Soviets, China, and Italy.
After looking at that, I began building up my army and began planning my invasion. Early on, I would use the bulk of my forces to attack Manchukuo and China. However, I had a small strike force attacking Papua New Guinea.
War!
Approximately 12 hours into Day 1, I began my invasion. Here's the situation about 2 hours in.

Pretty nice, I must say. I will go into more detail over Operation Spite later.
