What are your different tactics in CoW, especially the history ones? I need this for inspiration in later games, so plsss help

I'm playing Brazil in the Historic WWII game, and I just found out I'm really far behind in research and armies. Can someone help me with this? I'm used to balanced games, and find this surprising. It feels like a long way to go, and I want to finish this game quickly (not bragging, but I'm an ok tactician w/ very little micromanagement) :wallbash
