What if you default on manpower upkeep?
I have 7,656 manpower, with 1295/hour and 44,711/day, new day starts in 2 hr 41 min, and 13,619 daily upkeep.
I have enough for the next 12 hours, but am worried that I will default.
What will happen?
Aeroplanes are interesting toys but of no military value.

The daily upkeep is subtracted from the daily gain continuously, not at the end of the day.
Your daily gain is bigger than daily upkeep. You will not run out of manpower.
Try to count:
(44711-16619)/24 = 1295

Actually nothing bad happens when you default on manpower or any other resource; you are just set to zero which only makes it impossible to recruit new units.
