  1. It is a slow game. Gives you time to think and strategize and collaborate with allies.
  2. Game mechanics are well designed for balanced play but with some degree of realism.
  3. Occasionally you get active players which makes diplomacy interesting.
And things I don't like:

  1. Gold (edit: I support the game through High Command)
  2. The new renderer . . . but to be specific, the functionality of the new renderer is great, but the aesthetics are terrible. Looks like dayglo vomit.

Slow game that gives you time to develop economy, technologies, and strategize with allies ...

Well after all, it is a strategy game

Only thing i really like about CoW are the battleships :D

Seriously???? Why are you still playing the game?

? what exactly is your problem

I you only like battleship, I don't see a point in this game.

How is any of that your concern? It's not even related to the thread

My only favorite thing about CoW are battleships? So what?

So that is why I am asking you how you can play like that. I don't know what's wrong with you. Did I say something wrong???

that is the problem? the aggressive tone of it? :D

Why? You realized?

Well, that didn't look very necesary. (:-I)

What I like about Call of War:

1. Cost- overall it costs less to play than other games. You can actually win a game without forking out a lot of money. Good balance here.

2. Strategy- Overall excellant balance. There are multiple ways to tackle any situation and be successful.

3. The interaction of players in setting up coalitions etc. adds a lot to the enjoyment.

The deep strategy and realism. I really like how since it's a slow game, you don't have to login much but at the same time forcing you to login at least every day. There are many ways to play such a game, and often friendships are formed in alliances. I have been in the game for a couple of years, and I've never been bored by it.

My favorite part of this game is the planing. Should I upgrade this or that province or churn out some more units & if so which ones? All with trying to balance out the resources.

Should I attack this or that nation that has resources I need more of or the nation that would put me in a geographically strategic position, but doesn't really have as much of the resources I need.

That kind of planning & strategic choices, that I agonise over & over :P
