What the heck?
What the heck man? I invaded the Russian Empire and HALF of its provinces revolted in Ukraine. All my hard work and planning were for nothing!
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it
Have a good day!

An important part of planning is how to handle a bunch of land at 25% morale.
You either need:
1. A lot of troops to garrison the conquered territory, or
2. A capital taken at the end of the day, bringing every other province to 35% morale (or higher).
The best way is to take the capital of the conquered territory last.
This prevents rebellions AND it gives you more loot.
Why?
Because once the capital is gone, pillaging is less productive.
You want to take it last, at least after all the cities, to get all the yummy resources and money.
That is true, though it is kind of weird that the game mechanics encourage you to linger on and deliberately NOT take the capital as quickly as you can. In any RL war, it is the prime target and 90% of wars in history ended with a surrender when the capital fell. No great general would dream of deliberately delaying its conquest.
So true. It does work against human opponents. Sometimes they give up when you take the capital. Most of the time they just start using gold, furiously.
I just get lucky, took half of Africa in a HWW as South Africa in one day with LT Spam and only 1 province revolted.
Trash luck damn, but yeah what others have said are right. Capital last. It is very weird how you benefit from waiting to take it, it should be that the faster you take it the better. Maybe make it so that if you take a capital, any province you take from that country will bu just under revolt threshold, at least for the rest of this day and the next?
Edit:also is that a huge Spain I see? The only letter, and seemingly the last letter of its name you can se is N so that’s all I can assume… but the color looks like South USA
