Which is better? Economy fisrt, or Military?

I'm trying to find out which is better, economy first, or military first. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, for military you can prepare for any new person to surprise attack you if you get it early but worry about metal later on. If you focus on the Economy first, then you have enough resources, but you won't have that big of an army and will be slowly building your army. Which is better?

I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest he’s kinda right if you think about it

Both, both is good.

Industry is expensive, it takes a ton to go net positive on industry investments (4-6 days per upgrade). Always prioritize expansion if you wish to win the game. Not only do you get incredibly increased economy from captured cities (4 player nations income is equivalent to max out core industry), you also get a fantastic amount of war loot from this. So instead of spending money to get the same income, you are getting money. My style is to invest all I need into expansion, and throw what I can into industries, to get the income of both sources.

Say hi on the discord <3.

I agree with this, depends on your strategy. I like to focus on getting that industry early to pay off later. Do that especially if you are Commie or Allied. Axis or Pan Asian May want to attack.

I'm planning to experiment it next game

Thanks!

You need both for winning. Don't end up like No Industry dude who can't make a single unit.

I'm asking what to focus on first, industry, or military.

I already planned it after my last game, actually

Depends. If you want to go aggressive, go military. If you want to go defensive, go both military and industry. Keep in kind that you will eventually need industries even if you are being aggressive at the start.
Looking for improvement.

Why not just analysis the Situation and decide then? every game is different

I think that you should build lv one military before going for industry, that way you can still produce enough units to defend yourself. The industry becomes really important when it comes to the later game, you can just keep on churning out units and recruiting offices whilst everybody else is struggling.

True, but you can not have enough to build any industries after you build your barracks.

I think we have about 15k of each resources when in games which players are equal(in CON, at least). If you limit the number of production buildings built on day 1 and concentrate your production, you can even build L2 industries

You shouldnt build military in every city.

I generally do the following to begin with:

1. Research militia and A/C.

2. Build 2 barracks and 2 tank plants, and either 1 aircraft factory or navy yard, depending on location.

3. Industry in every province, on most maps you can do this. if not i don't bother with specials.

4. Produce militia and A/C's when available.

5. Research air or naval, again depending on location.

6. Move starter troops to borders, depending on potential threat, after checking out neighbours while the above is going on.

7. Hope for the best.

Anti Tanks... No-one with a Tank army can blitz you.

That is actually pretty smart. I wonder why not that many people do that.

You can flank them, fox did it all the time with light tanks. And how will you attack yourself?

CarKing the 6th of the Abrahamic Caliphate

It all depends on the map and doctrine.

Axis. Slow to produce early on and expensive.

Allied. The Tac bomber is superb when levelled up.

Pan Asian. A/Cs are fast, good view range and awesome when levelled up, same goes for militia due to terrain bonus.

Comintern. All I can say is that you can produce quickly.

The above said it is horses for courses, depending on map, neighbours and economy.

I know this might sound like heresy, but I rarely use tanks, anti tank or infantry.

Regarding navy, Subs and Cruisers all the way.

probably given away my game plan, but hey ho.
