Why!!!!!?????

Why is Ukraine still represented under the flag of the USSR on the "World at War" map? This flag is a symbol of occupation imposed by Soviet Russia, and it deeply offends Ukrainians, especially now, as the country fights for its freedom.

Several former Soviet countries in the game already use their modern national flags. Why not show the same respect for Ukraine by replacing the outdated symbol with its national blue-and-yellow flag? This would reflect historical justice and align with modern values.

It is also important to consider the historical context. During World War II, Ukrainian liberation movements, such as the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), actively fought for Ukraine's independence from both Soviet and Nazi occupation. The use of the blue-and-yellow flag, which was officially adopted during the period of the Ukrainian People's Republic (1918–1920), would be quite appropriate.

well I personally don't pay attention to World At War maps or even play it, but I think it is representing historical accuracy, as most of the Call of War maps start off set in the phoney war world, about 1939,1940 ish, which would be accurate to have Ukraine under soviet influence. If there are certain splits from countries, it is most likely a balancing effort to meet a certain player count, or have no singular nation disadvantaged or overpowered. My theory for the modern flag for certain countries under soviet rule is that some flags are extremely similar or identical to the soviet flag, such as the flag of Estonia under soviet rule, so the map creators decided to use modern flags to prevent confusion.
