Hey guys, so I know a lot of us have features or mechanics that we want to see in the game. So I wanted to hear some of them and discuss them between us. Every idea is valid so don't feel be afraid to post it. I hope to not see anyone bashing anyone else's idea this should all be in good fun. Anyways as you guys can probably guess due to my previous post I would really love to see super heavy tanks added in. What would you like to see in game and why do you think it should be added?

If ya'll are debating the Waffen SS, I believe I am your man. As I write this, I am sitting next to a book filled with the entire knowledge of the German Panzerwaffe, including the entire history of the divisions- when they were form formed, where they got raised, when they went to refit, when the surrendered ect.
Das Reich was mostly Eastern front, 5th SS Panzer 'Wiking' was east and west, and they gained a reputation for being elite.
If the conversation is about 'elite' troops, I agree with it: certain divisions will become better combatants over time, learning how to use their equipment to the best of their ability. However such a feature would need an exp system, and i'm guessing alot of people would be frightened to send elite units into combat after a time (would you risk your best men on something small?) but thats another thread for another time, I myself have mastered rotating units in and out of combat.
I still believe Marines and paras are most needed at the moment, followed by fighter-bombers and naval strike aircraft- because naval bombers are useless, and carrier craft are meant to sink other ships- and then we should talk about Elite systems and surrender mechanics.

Paras.
Marines.
Torpedo bombers. Good against surface ships. Make naval bombers good vs subs.

Or instead of torpedoe bombers, helicopters. They would actually be a nice hefty feature.

Only used by U-Boats and for SAR missions in Birmania.

Korea used Heli's, and the Germans used them for recon in the last months of the war

Well, still not massively used, and not for ground attack.

I've always thought of them as the air balloons from S1914

And at least there would be things like helicopters specially made to destroy the subs.

Nah, I don't like it. It wasn't really used.

Why do we need Marines?
26 May 2016, 22:45
Because the Marines did alot of the covert landings in the west, and they also took part in the bloodiest battles in the far-east.

Yes I'm aware, but what makes them any better than infantry?
26 May 2016, 22:49
They fact they'd be able to land on hostile coasts quicker, making a beach head and speeding up how quickly your actual army can land. Like most units, they'd be at their best for during the world map game: island hoping would be a lot easier.

Incremental reduction of non core province penalty over time. A long time. A very, very long time. Talking 4% a day here.
26 May 2016, 23:59
Yes marines would be great, double speed embark/disembark and instant embark from your own or allied level 3 naval base.

make it 2% and i'm happy.
Forum Gang Premier you are a balls

Well I think it should vary, the closer the province to other core provinces the faster it becomes a core province with a maximum rate of 4%? And a minimum of 1% (?) unless affected by external means. This is of course, a simple proposal. To be honest, this would add a very interesting level into the game as you could use spies to increase the amount of effort required.
Now it would, of course, require a good amount of effort installed to try and centralize it and outright rebellion ramping up in the province to simulate what really happens when you try and wipe out a culture to stick in yours. A lot of hate.

This makes no sense! Why does everyone suggest it?! Para cannot carry heavy weaponry and if they do have gliders that bring a few tanks, they are light tanks that get wrecked by 50. cals. They should be weaker than standard infantry.
Agreed. Nobody would get infantry because Paratroop are better.

In the current state of the game, people rarely build infantry anyway. Too expensive for its value. People just stick to specialized units.

Just make paras regular inf, but with lower states against air and armour. Paratroops are used for fighting behind major enemy formations, and only an idiot would throw them into actual pitched battles without the right support
