It also caused allied people to invade you or the other way around, and right of way countries to be neutral and therefore to declare war.

Diplomatic shock
Dear Generals,
during the past night the diplomatic relations in many games were completely reset to peace. In addition, they couldn't be changed to something else. Out emergency team has been working intensely on a solution and has come so far that setting relations is possible again and mandatory relations for teams/coalitions got restored. All other relations for now have to be restored manually. We deeply regret this incident and further measures/compensations will follow as soon as possible.

I understand how the reset caused wars and other issues but have 2 questions:
1.How do I "manually reset" the AI? I had RoW with most of the AI countries, not now. One I had to actually eliminate because we went to war unintentionally.
2. What recourse do I have if another player has benefited from the reset (he was at war with 5 countries, now only 1) .

On the diplomatic relations board/menu, toggle your relationships to "right of way" (green arrow icon) from "peace" (white and yellow dove icon). The AI countries will usually accept your reciprocal ROW offer in 24 to 72 hours, although I have seen it take up to 7 days early in a game.ddweb wrote:

I'm not a member of the volunteer forum staff (so I hope I am not speaking out of turn), but I am afraid you have no recourse under those circumstances. . . . unless, the COW programmers can restore the original settings. That said, if I understand Freezy's original comment above, the programmers have already done their best to restore alliances among human players, and they are unable to do more than that.ddweb wrote:

Thanks guys. I knew about the standard way of getting relationship upgrades with AI (that's how I got them in the first place 
). Was hoping for a "quick fix". I figured I was just hosed on all fronts here. Thanks again.

i'm having another issue now, however. Now, my games won't load, and my profile isn't showing up on the main menu screen. This may be part of the problem? I'm not sure what was going on. I had a nice 8 hour window though.
It'd be nice for everything to be fully up and running!
