Dominate the Coast! - Introducing the Amphibious Tank

Emerging from the waves comes a revolution to combat in Call of War. Today we are proud to unveil the Amphibious Valentine DD Tank!
Attention, General!
Built to support daring raids on your enemies coastlines, the Amphibious tank has greatly reduced embark and disembark timers. That means you can get in, wreak havoc and escape to the safety of the sea before your opponent ever knew what hit them.

Strong against unarmored opponents, the Valentine DD Tank is the perfect tool to disrupt your opponent in blindspots and to prepare larger landing operations. All three levels of the tank will be deployable on Day 2. So carefully observe your opponent - Amphibious tanks of level 2 and level 3 are tough opponents that will put up a stiff fight. Higher levels of the card also become stronger against lightly armored opponents, opening up new deployment possibilities.

Ready to bolster your forces with this game-changing unit? Take part in the upcoming Operations to claim your own Unit Cards! The Amphibious Tank will be available in Operations starting Dec.19th until Operation “Leviathan” finishes on January 15th at 10am UTC. Here is the complete list of Operations that let you claim Amphibious Tanks:
- ”Tsunami”
- ”Tidalwave”
- “Flashflood”
- “Rogue Wave”
- “Typhoon”
- “Maelstrom”
- “Leviathan”
So break out the maps, start strategizing and get ready to harness a force that redefines versatility and strength on the battlefield!
Best of luck General!

I get that Freezy managed to justify the flame tank, but I don't see any point in more "seasonal" units gained through operations, at least make them researchable.
Furthermore, Amphibious tanks were much more trivial in WW2, and are not accurately represented on this scale, but there was another amphibious unit that was much more significant than Amphibious tanks.
Amphibious Infantry
or
Marines!
Regardless of what everyone thinks, it's good Bytro is looking into units with different embarking speeds, that whole mechanic needs to be completely rethought.
Interesting… why not just have infantry marines though? Not sure if this is really what we wanted… especially because this won’t become producible either, will it? A real game changer would be a unit that permanently actually stays in the game, right? If this starts becoming a thing where they throw out temporary units I’m really going to start becoming scared for this games future…

See, inflatable duck boats are more popular.
Whatever next? Perhaps a bridge-laying Tank? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoured_vehicle-launched_bridge
More diversification in the Allied Tech Branch is good though, I like more British and Commonwealth Units.
this should be a type of light tank. like air mode and land mode paratroops
Bicycle Infantry!
If they want another unit make it para tanks, at least that keeps with the pattern:
- Flame Tanks
- Amphibious Tanks
- Airborne Tanks
I am all good with new units but they should be more broad strategic forces that would actually be used on a large scale, not vehicles that served a minor role in the war you can pull out of nowhere! Add marine units. Maybe throw in a tech section that allows you to improve the general speed and disembarking time of all units (or just have transport boats do this). Just, what purpose from the game standpoint will this serve in the long term? You can’t really discuss something like this in a few months when it’s gone, it won’t increase the player base or enjoyable complexity of the game. So why? Something tells me the conspiracy section of my mind is right about a certain S with a line going through it… this makes me feel bad for the developers who I know want to actually improve the game, but seem to be held back and forced to add things like this… is this point of view crazy or something?

NOOOO!!! You can’t just randomly introduce a new unit like this!
As a former Marine myself, I can't begin to describe how disappointed I am that Bytro is introducing anything resembling Marines this way.
Odd that they're calling them Amphibious Tank. The modern classification is Amphibious Assault Vehicle. In WWII they were called Landing Vehicle Tracked.
Does it have a smaller disembarking time?
Yes, I think so.TelAviv wrote:

Good
This is a special kind of blow you just hit the game with, damn.6thDragon wrote:

The fact that all levels of the unit will be deployable on day two is going to be overpowered.
This is a really nice idea, especially for small areas like the Panama or the Suez.Zaktty wrote:

Will Bytro be implementing any permanent new units which can be researched and unlocked in the accustomed way, or will they continue to surprise introduce these temporary unit cards? @Geden
didnt most of them sink on D day trapping and killing everyone inside?
