There’s a noise like the historical sum of all cafeteria accidents everywhere.
Playing the Nuclear Eschaton since 2022.

Your capital has fallen. Your government has escaped. The soldiers you sent to quell the uprising are getting back up.
They are no longer following orders. All they care about is eating your brains.
Hellfire is now live in Call of War, bringing a new Halloween event map: World at War - The Infection. Face an outbreak that turns fallen soldiers into zombies, reclaim cities overrun by the dead, and take command of the new Hellfire Bomber. With entire hordes on the march, conventional firepower may not win you the battle - you will require something hotter.
Your Next Casualty Could Become Your Next Enemy
On World at War - The Infection, a fallen soldier does not stay down for long. Whenever an Infantry unit is destroyed, it rises again as zombies. Winning the first fight is only part of the job.
The dead must also be defeated, and an army that barely survives its original mission may have little left for what comes next - finding that their defeated foe is coming back to bite them.
Plan your attacks with enough strength to handle the aftermath. Keep reserves ready, account for losses on both sides, and think carefully before committing your last troops. Every infantry casualty can leave another threat on the battlefield.
Preliminary reports from our scientists show that the mobility of mechanized and motorized units allows them to evade before becoming overwhelmed by the Horde.
There is no comfort in watching an enemy formation collapse when its remains are about to overwhelm your exhausted troops.
Fortunately, your researchers have prepared an answer.
Meet the Hellfire Bomber
A converted tactical bomber carrying a particularly brutal payload, the Hellfire Bomber deploys a Firestorm when ordered to make a direct attack. The resulting blaze burns anything and everything within its area of effect.
A mass of zombies makes an excellent target. Anything else caught in the flames will burn just as readily, so use the new toy in your arsenal deliberately.
The Hellfire Bomber is available to research in the Secret branch on World at War - The Infection. It is part of the event map’s research tree, giving you a new weapon to work into your war plans as you fight the outbreak.
Each doctrine has converted their tactical bombers into modified versions that are equipped to handle the volatile payload:
Allies: Douglas B-18A Bolo
Axis: Junkers Ju 86
Comintern: Tupolev SB
Pan-Asian: Mitsubishi Ki-21
Research access is exclusive to the event map. Hellfire Bomber unit cards can also be deployed on other maps, allowing you to bring a little of this Halloween’s firepower to your other fronts.
On the infected battlefield, the bomber offers a way to burn through a horde before it overwhelms your surviving troops. But there may be more to its payload than raw destruction.
Watch what happens when flames arrive before the bodies fall. Your researchers may have given you more than one way to clear the dead.
The Host Has Taken Your Capital
The outbreak has already reached the heart of your nation.
At the start of World at War - The Infection, every nation’s original capital has been overrun by a large zombie force known as “The Host”. Your government has evacuated to another city, leaving the old capital in the hands of the dead.
Losing an urban province puts an immediate strain on your economy. Reclaiming it could restore a valuable part of your country, but clearing out The Host will take troops and resources.
You could march home, burn out the infection, and take back your capital before turning your attention abroad. Or you could leave the dead behind your lines and seek the resources you need across someone else’s border.
Every nation faces the same choice. While you prepare to liberate your streets, another commander may already be preparing to cross your frontier.
World at War - The Infection is live now. Assemble your forces, research the Hellfire Bomber, and prepare for a war where every fallen infantry unit can become your next problem.
Godspeed, and see you on the battlefield!
