In the navy♪

Generals,

it is indeed nothing new that you can sail the seven seas once you join

the navy. What is new though is our latest set of balancing improvements

which this time mainly concerned the naval warfare in Call of War.

These are the changes we made:

  • Destroyers: Damage area increased from 0.75 to 2.
  • Destroyers: Naval / Submarine Defense increased by +25%.
  • Submarines: Naval Defense reduced by -25%.
  • Nuclear submarines: Naval / Submarine Defense reduced by -25%
  • Nuclear submarines: Naval attack increased by 0.5.

Our development team can also report the successful elimination of bugs:

  • Measures were taken that prevent bans by false IP conflicts.
  • Destroying an airfield no longer makes aircrafts crash if they cannot find another airfield in range, in that case they will now return and take 25% of their current condition as damage while doing a crash landing.
  • Ship names are no longer reset when researching a higher level.
  • When holding CTRL while giving a move command to your units lets you move them closer to a city without entering it.
  • A bug in the province filtering was removed, you can now correctly filter for multiple building types.
  • A certain secret weapon is now available in front pioneer games for testing. More news to come! (don’t spoil it…)

Last but not least: We also added a couple of new support features for our awesome volunteers to make their work easier!

nice update, glad with the planes, was annoying although I guess it didnt happen a whole lot, for me anyway

Well submarines are officially obsolete.. building them is a waste of resources.. since the last downgrade the benefit was slim, now subs are a liability considering the time/resources to upgrade them to max lvl and the quantity you have to build for them to be anything but a scout..

An interesting update that improves the performance of the naval units.

Damn it! I love subs. But I'm gonna be optimistic.......the secret weapon is most likely the carrier. ***Fingers Crossed***

Subs will likely be rebalanced in the next update, completely shutting them out of the game is pointless. Feed back from this update will help finally settle the matter

Are you sure this is changed? Looking at my level 4 destroyers the deff stats are still the same as is projected in this ancient toppic. Features units

My level 4 subs have a higher defence stats for naval and submarine units than offence stats. I think they had 4.5 and 1 for naval off/def and marine off/def respectively before the patch. Now the off stats is still the same, but naval def is 5.6 and submarine def is 1.2.

So... I wonder if I'm mistaking or that the description is incorrect...

Like Azkazan, I see no change in destroyers and for subs I see a +25% increase in defending strength.

These were the stats for submarines prior to the update, so I think you are right.

Strength attacking surface ships 2

Strength defending from surface ships 1.3

Strength attacking submarines 1

Strength defending from submarine 0.7

Strength defending from Air 0.7

EDIT: Maybe it hasn't been updated in the game yet.

Czar, subs do seem to have changed in current games, but apparently in a direction opposite to what was posted.
