Last Chance - Get Your Flame Tank Now!

Attention, Generals!

Have you tried the Flame Tank yet? If not, you’ll have to hurry up. Flame Tank unit cards will only be available in these upcoming Operations:

  • Inferno
  • Torch
  • Flashfire
  • Armory
With the conclusion of these Operations on November 6th at 10:00 UTC, the Flame Tank will no longer be a reward for Operations. Don’t worry - all Unit Cards collected now will remain available in your Inventory until you use them on the battlefield. Make sure to fill up your arsenal now, and secure yourself the last supply of Flame Tanks during the remaining campaigns.

This also gives us the opportunity to assess the impact your Flame Tanks had on the battlefield. So far, Generals across Call of War claimed a staggering 717,502 Flame Tank units in the last 4 weeks.

We are also able to get a glimpse at the Flame Tanks awe-inspiring destructive power. In total you guys managed to destroy 138,000 armies with Flame Tanks, and captured 30,000,000 provinces!

To take part in this fiery carnage check in on current and upcoming operations. Don’t pass up the chance to collect your very own Flame Tanks!

Your Bytro Team!

Last chance...that implies they are getting rid of the Flame Tanks?!

Is that just a poor choice of words or is it indeed no longer going to be given out?

I assume they're going away temporarily, to drive demand with a little bit of artificial scarcity and fomo.

700k tanks seems pretty decent, that's maybe a ballpark of 100k or so players that got them? Not too bad.

The best thing about the flame tanks is, for someone who plays with a no first use approach to cards and gold, they remove any guesswork if the player is using cards or not. They're like a scarlet letter in that regard.

Unless they make them researchable

I should probably stock up on my cards then...

Me too

I’m gonna hold onto them for the next 10 years and suddenly pull them out when no one has them and and everyone thinks they are gone… imagine if you were playing a game and you are suddenly facing a nuclear ship?

You just hope the game coding will support flame tanks ten years from now. Imagine your surprise when you hold on to them for ten years and get an error message when you finally go to use them. :wallbash

I would use a flame tank on Bytro’s headquarters, with the ultimatum of either letting me use it or feeling the tank..

a) Maybe they'll replace it with some other reward unit like Conflict of Nations seasonal units. I suspect that is the plan all along.

b) Or hopefully it's just unavailable for a few months or so. Just having it be periodically appearing in operations would be pretty good.

c) it's a publicity stunt and we'll hear no more of it. It will dissapear as unexpectedly as it started.

The images remind me of those British WWII propaganda showing tank production figures. If these are accurate, and every regiment contains 72 tanks, over 50,000,000 have been deployed. During the Second World War, gross production (76,000 Axis + 116,000 USSR + 86,000 USA+ 35,000 British Empire) = 313,000 tanks produced so this is around 167 times historical production figures and around 10,000 times the number of Churchill tanks produced.

If 100,000 games were played, that is not surprising. Although I must say, the figures of a 7:1 deploy:kill ratio are IMO underwhelming.

I think Bytro is moving from their traditional gold based gameplay to seasonal and limited type units. In the future I wouldn't be surprised if they added a Battle Pass. Call of War seems to be the most advanced game that they have even though Iron Order 1919 is newer, but they have been updating gameplay more on that side. I think each game is an experiment for different types of gameplay to make one another more advanced, so Call of War will probably face the blunt of corporatist marketing updates.

I wonder if Geden reads these replies to the announcements.

Doubtful, I think it's only Freezy who does. Geden probably copies and pastes the messages (not a bad thing) since he has other things going on and likely has 0 interest in petty talks on a forum.

Maybe he is just too busy

Thanks for paraphrasing that.

I see and read most messages, after all there's valuable feedback to be had  I just rarely get to reply directly as i'll check ever so often for new feedback, but not necessarily when you guys sent the messages.
