Glory to the Red Army!
Glory to the Revolution!
Marshal of the Forum High Command
Attention, General!
Nuclear weapons have become even more fearsome! Nuclear explosions will now cause fallout to rain down from the skies. The fallout will affect a large area around the explosion, damaging friends and foes alike for its duration. This adds a strategic element, requiring careful planning before deploying these weapons of mass destruction.
You can test out the new and improved nukes by joining the Doomsday event maps, available this week. On top of that, a special Operation, exclusive to the event will offer an opportunity to earn extra rewards!
We also deployed a few bug fixes. Armies can no longer be disengaged from combat by merging them with other armies. Market fees are now displayed properly, letting you make informed decisions on which trades to accept. And no longer will resources be deducted multiple times for the same unit upgrade when playing on a slower connection.
We have updated our privacy policy to better provide you with an enjoyable gaming experience and in accordance with local regulations. For more information see this page.
For a closer look at the changes please check out the detailed Release Notes and share your feedback with us on the Forums and on our Discord Server.
Best of luck General!

Yes and the US had enough material for 3 atomic bombs at the time they dropped the first 2. No one had any and Nuclear missiles were not available until 1957.Joe Bartolozzi wrote:

What a disaster.....Nukes do NOT belong in a world War 2 scenario......try fixing the ship movement at sea and get rid of the way points, let the ships move just like aircraft in 360 degrees......get rid of the expansion and Capitol morale penalties, the game is not a popularity contest but a war game......you want nukes then design a cold war scenario game.
As for the ship movement.....imagine if the convoy's and task forces all had to follow the same route every time they sailed......would be a completely different world.
@freezy, I noticed I can't create Poll threads. Was this taken away for everybody, or is it just a mistake?
That is true, ships movements should have more flexibility.Master of the blitz wrote:

Itβs. A. Game.
You're right.. but can't ships move freely like airplanes?Carking the 6th wrote:

The whole strategy of ships changes, then. It would be a lot harder to intercept ships, guess where they will go and such. No matter how big your fleet is now they are sneak though your fleet and bombard your cities or land on you. Those elaborate sub and naval bomber lines? Youβve made them useless. You might also have an issue coding in only sea lanes and places you can travel to. Only good thing is that places such as the Great Lakes actually become useful to build ships.
By your thinking, land units should also be able to move freely... see a problem?Joe Bartolozzi wrote:

then planes should also move like ships and land units.AleksanderZ wrote:

I know thatβs just supposed to be a strawman, but how exactly do you draw air routes anyway?
The current system is fine as is. This isnβt really something that needs a change.
I agree, the current system is fine, but a few changes would be cool.Carking the 6th wrote:

Air routes needed, 100%.
I actually like the iron order 1919 naval route more than call of war, simple because how its right now requiere much attention.
Real life it's doesnt have sense ships moving freely, ships requiere resupply stations, thats why japanese attack on California or German attack on new York couldnt be possible, thats why american marines fight island bye island instead of sneak into japan

The war ended with the Atomic Bombes Dropping on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, (and the Soviet attack on Manchukuo)Master of the blitz wrote:

So, yes< NUKES BELONG IN A WW2 SECNERIO!

Tbf nukes are badass anyways. Also it's not really unrealistic since the "lore" says the war continues into 1952 according to infantry units in the research tree. Plus, all you would have to do is strap a warhead to the end of a large V-2 and voila! It's not like you can mass produce them easily like we did in the cold war, they are really expensive just like they were in WWII and the following years, but still achievable to have a stock.
people were still working on modernizing weapons' in the 50s, so its logical that it goes to 1950. once we hit the 60, the cold war is really on. people focuses on nuclear stuff.

In reality the first nuclear missile was in 1957, which seems just out of the scope of the game, and mass producible onesβ¦
